  • Tolaini 2018 Al Passo Toscana

    $19.99$192.00

    Tuscany Italy
    James Suckling 95 Rating
This is a fantastic red with so much cherry, currant, ash, tobacco, earth and walnut aromas. It’s full and layered with firm tannins that provide form, texture and structure. Linear and long. Really excellent for the vintage. Give it two or three years to come together, but already a beauty. Try after 2024.

The 2021 Tooth & Nail Squad Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep ruby-purple color and aromas of cassis, garrigue, pencil shavings, cedar and soy sauce. The full-bodied palate has a deep core of fruit, a soft, grainy frame and plenty of freshness, making this very easy to drink and a showstopper at this price point!

  • Torre de Oña 2014 Finca Martelo

    $29.99

    Rioja Spain
    Wine Advocate 94 Rating
This wine is released as Martelo in Spain but that be renamed as Finca Martelo in the international market. So, I tasted the 2014 again but this time labeled as 2014 Finca Martelo. The wine hasn't changed much since the last time I tasted it; it's aromatic and showy, with elegance and poise, nicely balanced and perfumed with a medium body and very fine tannins, intense flavors and a long finish. It's evolving very slowly, and I wouldn't be surprised if it made old bones. R11-1 SP39-4

  • Torres 2015 Salmos

    $39.99$210.00

    Priorat Spain
    Wine Advocate 91 Rating
Along with the 2014, I also tasted the 2015 Salmos, which is from an earlier and riper year. It's a similar blend of Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah from the same vineyards and produced in a similar way, with fermentation in stainless steel and aged in French barriques for 14 months. The wine showed more finesse and freshness than the 2014, and there is more depth and complexity here too. There are some tannins that would welcome food and/or some more time in bottle. Very tasty. Intense ruby red color with fruity hints of cherry and small red berries. Blackcherry, dried flowers, spice and licorice lift up from the bouquet. The fruit returns to the mouth, where the sip is sliding of excellent persistence.

  • Torrevento 2019 Bolonero Rosso Castel del Monte

    $14.99$144.00

    Puglia Italy
    93 Rating Luca Maroni
The Torrevento Bolonero Castel Del Monte 2019 is a blend of the local Aglianico and Nero di Troia grapes, all from older vines and all vinified only in stainless steel. This zone is notable for producing fiery, full-bodied reds, the sun always shining, brilliant tomato country. But what Torrevento has managed to do is build some elegance and refinement into this not-so-simple wine, thus earning this wine the prestigious Tre Bicchieri status.

  • Torrin 2012 Tsundere

    $89.99

    Paso Robles
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The 2012 Tsundere is all estate fruit and is made from 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Tannat, 13% Grenache and the rest Syrah. Full-bodied, concentrated and yet polished and seamless (which is surprising given the large percentage of Tannat), it reveals loads of complexity in its rose petal, spice, spring flowers, chocolate and exotic red and black fruits. It’s drinking nicely as well, but I can’t imagine it not evolve nicely for at least another decade. R19-1
