Tyler's 2017 Pinot Noir Dierberg Vineyard – Block 5 is dark, juicy and exuberant. One of the more forward, lush wines in the range, the 2017 impresses with its fruit density and breadth. Clay-rich soils on gravel and fully destemmed fruit, with small berries, yield a Pinot endowed with notable depth and textural resonance. Black cherry, plum, dried herbs and leather build into the potent finish.

Mae Estate is brand new cuvée from Tyler. “This place came on the market in 2014,” explains winemaker Justin Tyler Willett. “We had contemplated buying a place, so we will break ground here in 2022 on a new winery.” Located in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation on marine sediment soils, the Mae Estate will become the new home for Tyler wines. The 2019 Chardonnay Mae Estate is a beautiful first iteration. The nose features creamy panna cotta, lemon peel and pastry aromas streaked with sweet spice, and the palate has a unique satiny texture that coats the mouth and draws out its plush, creamy citrus and apricot layers. Don't hesitate to try this promising new cuvée from Tyler.

The 2020 Pinot Noir La Rinconada Vineyard has a gorgeous expression this vintage. Medium ruby-purple color, it’s scented of raspberry, pomegranate and blueberries with accents of cola, tobacco leaves and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate has a deep core of red fruit and tremendous spicy, earthy accents. Supported by powdery tannins and bright acidity, it boasts loads of floral perfume on the long finish. Wow!

It’s a stunning wine by a world-class winery.

It's medium in weight with classic minerality from this geographic location. There's a roundness with lovely flavors of Orchard fruits coupled with a tense acidity and a nice lick of salinity. Highly enjoyable with Crab. -
