Mer Soleil 2023 Reserve Chardonnay
$19.99 – $192.00Santa Lucia Highlands Monterey County California
Natalie MacLean 93 Rating
Sunshine in a glass, this California Chardonnay is all about indulgence. Think caramel drizzle over baked apples, a hint of grilled peach, and a creamy texture that wraps around your palate like velvet. The finish? It goes on and on, like the best kind of goodbye. Discovered it years ago over dinner with a view of fireworks—every sip still sparks a little wonder. Try it with roast chicken, smoked crab, or pork with a sweet tropical twist.

Caparzo 2013 Brunello di Montalcino
$49.99Tuscany Italy
Wine Spectator 95 Rating
This cuts more of a broad swath than its peers, yet remains graceful, evoking strawberry, cherry, tobacco and stony mineral flavors. Long and dense in structure, with a tobacco- and underbrush-tinged finish. Best from 2021 through 2033. R5-1 -
Chapelle St. Theodoric 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Guigasse
$99.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Wine Advocate 95-97 Rating
Scents of roses, garrigue and blackberries mark the nose of the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape La Guigasse, still aging in demi-muids at the time of my visit. It's one of those special wines that manages to be full-bodied and concentrated, yet also pillowy-soft, nearly ethereal in the mouth. A bit more tannic and stern on the finish than the 2020 Le Grand Pin, it finishes long, with a lingering note of licorice. 100% Grenache. R18-2 -
Camigliano 2010 Gualto Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
$99.99Tuscany Italy
Wine Spectator 96 Rating
A fluid, expressive style, full of cherry, plum, truffle, eucalyptus and tobacco flavors. Fine balance and a lively structure keep this focused and long on the finish. Decant now or cellar another year or two. Best from 2018 through 2032. R3-3 -
Antinori 2015 Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino
$74.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 94 Rating
Quite reductive and earthy, but opens to show tidy cranberries and glazed red cherries. Hints of citrus and spice. Full-bodied and rich, but there’s savory edge to the plush, juicy tannins, and lots of weight and density. Drink from 2024. R10-3 SP49-5 -
Altesino 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
$124.99Tuscany Italy
Wine Spectator 97 Rating
Laced with ripe cherry, strawberry, floral, spice, iron and leather flavors, this red is complex and charming, yet with serious tannins that ply the structure and lift the long finish. The fine balance should facilitate longevity. R45-3 -
Aftermath 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon
$79.99Napa Valley California
This 100% Estate-grown Cabernet offers up an amazing bouquet of classic dark Cabernet fruit that jumps out of the glass upon impact. This youngster is lush, full in bodied and surprisingly well-balanced. The wine is multi-layered loaded with gorgeous black currant, dark chocolate, a whiff of anise, cassis and a touch of spice on the opulent palate. Extremely well-balanced and in-sync wine that will please the big Cab lover. This is a killer wine, but unfortunately a very limited production. Winemaker Dave Phinney. BX-6 -
Sea Smoke 2020 Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills
$99.99Santa Barbara County
An elegant Chardonnay with aromas of Meyer lemon zest, fresh cut melon and honeycomb. The nose is complemented by mandarin and a slight nuttiness in the focused mid-palate and the refreshing cool climate acidity of our estate vineyard. R45-5 R32-2 -
Ferrari Carano 2019 Pinot Noir
$29.99 – $300.00Anderson Valley California
Wine Enthusiast 91 Rating
This well-balanced, well-structured and handsomely complex wine emphasizes ripe plum and red-cherry flavors and accents them with subtle cinnamon, cedar and mint notes. Light tannins and a medium to full body lend a mouthfilling texture while lively acidity adds a fresh lift.
