Delivers a nice, saturated feel without being heavy, letting cherry and plum paste notes unfurl slowly, along with violet, licorice root and warm humus accents, which all blossom steadily through the savory finish.

An impeccably made sparkling wine from this talented winemaker, the 2022 Brut Nature comes all from Mourvèdre, made in the classic méthode champenoise style. Apple and stone fruits, some spice and floral notes, medium body, a juicy, elegant mousse, and a clean, crisp finish all define this sparkler. It’s going to evolve for 4-6 years or so, although I’d give it a year or two and drink up.

    Highly Recommended Selection

Dark and winey, this structured offering packs red and black currant paste flavors together with threads of charcoal, warm stone, bay leaf and savory, ending with a long tug of cast iron through the finish. A blue chip for cellaring. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault. Drink now through 2035. Only 930 cases imported. R24-5

  • Chateau De Sales 2020 Pomerol

    $44.99

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
I loved the 2020 Chateau De Sales from barrel, and it’s showing beautifully from bottle. Sporting a deep purple hue as well as a ripe, sexy, medium to full-bodied style, it has ripe, supple tannins, a layered, balanced mouthfeel, and classic aromatics of ripe black cherries, plums, licorice, spring flowers, and damp earth. It’s another beautiful, layered, elegant Pomerol in the vintage that will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age. Best After 2026. SPBX-12

  • Chateau Du Courlat 2016 Lussac St. Emilion

    $24.99

    Bordeaux France
    Wine Advocate 93 Rating
The 2016 Du Courlat has a rich, slightly jammy bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit. The palate is well balanced with juicy tannins, rich but nicely controlled with a very poised and tensile finish. Now this is a lovely Lussac Saint Emilion in the making. One to watch out for. SP59-5

Attractive graphite and flinty notes with deeply ripe, red and purple fruit on offer, as well as cedary oak influence. The palate has a succulent, juicy and focused core with impressive length and balance. Great wine. Try from 2022. BX-6

From the partner estate to Chateau Giscours, this wine is as elegant as you would expect. While it is structured, it also has ripe fruits, rich tannins and great potential. The dry and firm core of this wine will propel it forward. Drink from 2027. SP52-5

  • Chateau Ducluzeau 2016 Red Blend Listrac

    $29.99$156.00

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 90 Rating
From the team at Ducru-Beaucaillou, the 2016 Château Ducluzeau is possibly one of the finest Listracs produced in any vintage. This beauty offers a medium ruby color to go with a terrific perfume of sweet cherry and dark fruits that are supported by loads of leafy herbs, damp earth, and even hints of graphite. Shockingly deep, medium-bodied, and beautifully concentrated, with ripe tannins, it shines for its purity and nuance but offers serious intensity as well. It’s a fabulous wine to drink over the coming 10-15 years.
