Chateau Grand-Puy-Ducasse 2022 Bordeaux Blend Pauillac
$69.99 – $360.00Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
The 2022 Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a gorgeous effort that might surpass the 2020 when all is said and done. Largely Cabernet Sauvignon (58%) yet with a solid dose of Merlot (40%) and a splash of Petit Verdot, this beauty exhibits a deep purple hue as well as powerful aromatics of blackcurrants, spicy oak, freshly sharpened lead pencils, and a chalky sense of minerality. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, this broad, layered, beautifully textured, and concentrated Pauillac has building tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish.

Chateau Grange-Neuve 2018 Pomerol
$54.99 – $300.00Bordeaux France
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
This is a rich, juicy and structured wine. Bold tannins combine with black-currant flavors to give a ripe wine, equally solid with fruit and tannin. It should develop well, bringing out fruit and smoothing the texture. Drink from 2024.

Chateau Grange-Neuve 2021 Pomerol

Aged for up to 18 months in wood, this wine has a developed a polished character. The Merlot gives a tobacco and spice aroma and rich tannins. The ripeness of the wine, balanced by a juicy aftertaste, suggests further aging. Drink from 2027.

Chateau Gruaud Larose 2018 Saint-Julien
$129.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
Based on 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Château Gruaud Larose sports a dense purple hue as well as a stunning nose of pure crème de cassis, cedar pencil shavings, blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, and a liquid rock-like sense of minerality. This dense, almost broodingly backward, concentrated Saint-Julien has flawless balance, a remarkable sense of purity, masses of tannins, and one hell of a great finish. Seemingly almost from a more austere year (say 2000 or 2010), it's not going to hit maturity for at least a decade and should cruise in cold cellars for 20-30 years. It's a brilliant wine! Chateau Haut Vigneau 2021 Bordeaux Blanc
$24.99 – $126.00Pessac Leognan Bordeaux France
Enjoyabilityfactor 93 Rating
Brilliant pale yellow, the 2021 Haut-Vigneau opens with a fresh, breezy bouquet of citrus, gooseberry, and a hint of crème brûlée. On the palate, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon notes race along, glistening with an edge of brisk lemon pith as the wine races toward a mouthwatering finish of white flower, tarragon, oyster shell, and graceful minerality. A gift to lovers of the rare white classified growths of Pessac-Léognan, this remarkable value offers quality at or near the classified growth level at a cru bourgeois price.

Château Haut-Bailly 2020 Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé
$194.99Bordeaux
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
Another wine I underrated on release, the 2020 Château Haut-Bailly is just about pure perfection, and whereas the 2018 is closer in style to the 2009, this plays things a little closer to its vest and is reminiscent of the 2010. Full-bodied, concentrated, and powerful, it nevertheless cuts a focused, precise path across the palate and brings incredible purity in its darker fruits, smoked tobacco, cedar pencil, and Asian spice-driven aromas and flavors. The tannin quality here is off the charts, and this beauty has everything you could want from wine. SPBX-6 -

Chateau Haut-Batailley Verso 2018 Red Blend

Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
First created in 2017, the Château Haut-Batailley Verso is the new second wine of this estate, which is now run by the talented team at Lynch-Bages. The 2018 Château Haut-Batailley Verso has a complex, nuanced, approachable style with classic Pauillac dark fruits, tobacco, lead pencil, and earthy aromas and flavors. Gorgeously fruited, succulent, and seamless, it nevertheless has the balance, structure, and purity to keep for 20 years or more.
