Clos des Papes 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape
$149.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Wine Spectator 98 Rating
This offers a drop-dead gorgeous core of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors that hold center stage but still allow notes of Lapsang souchong tea, anise, incense and shiso leaf to chime in. Very long, with a sublime feel through the mineral-tinged finish. So seductive already, but this should cruise in the cellar. Drink now through 2040. 6,000 cases made, 850 cases imported. SP36-1 -

$29.99 – $138.00Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
The 2020 Clos Du Roy offers up a pure, beautifully clean bouquet of ripe black cherries, plums, tobacco, and cedary spices. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Fronsac with a balanced, layered mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. It’s a stunning Fronsac to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years. SP51-6

The Tasting Panel 96 Rating
A wash of elegant liquid offers a whisper of sleek tannins guided by sweet earth, slate, purple plum, and black olive. Midpoint savory notes of fig, toasted cedar, and black tea meld with heather and blackberry on the well- structured and impeccably balanced palate.

Clos Henri 2022 Otira Glacial Stones Sauvignon Blanc
$24.99 – $132.00Marlborough New Zealand
James Suckling 96 Rating
This is real sauvignon blanc with sliced lemons, dried mango and hints of white pineapple with some stone. It’s full and layered with a density and presence on the palate. Long and flavorful. Phenols hold it together. One of the best NZ sauvignons out there. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Clos i Terrasses 2019 Clos Erasmus
$210.00Priorat Spain
Quite simply, this wine is one of the absolute benchmarks for fine Priorat, and a reference in Spain. Sourced from 3 small vineyards in the Gratallops, this blend of Grenache and Syrah undergoes strict berry selection and is fermented and aged for 20 months in barrels and amphorae. It is all about dense fruit, exotic spice and licorella minerality, with a freshness and elegance are truly singular, even among the top wines of the appellation. -
Clos i Terrasses Clos Erasmus 2017 Laurel
$59.99Priorat, Spain
Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The 2017 Laurel is a blend of the younger vines, some barrels that were declassified from Clos Erasmus and the remaining Cabernet Sauvignon, and in the low-yielding and dry 2017 vintage, it's 70% Garnacha, 20% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 15% alcohol. The wine fermented mostly in concrete and oak vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in a combination of oak vats, concrete, used barriques and amphorae for 16 months. They produce this to be approachable from the moment it's released. The 2017s feel very aromatic, open, expressive and young, quite primary, tender and juicy and surprisingly fresh for a dry, warm year that resulted in a very early harvest. There is a peachy, soft, approachable quality here that I like very much. Surprisingly enough, winemaker and proprietor Daphne Glorian sees reminiscences of the 2013s in the 2017s, and I have to agree. SP35-8 -
Clos Saint Jean 2018 Chateauneuf Du Pape La Combe Des Fous
$149.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The star of the show in 2018 is the 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape La Combe Des Fous, which has an incredible mix of complexity, power, and elegance that’s something to behold. Sporting a deep purple/plum color as well as a killer bouquet of blackcurrants, lavender, peppery garrigue, graphite, and white chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a seamless, multi-dimensional texture, incredible tannins, and a gorgeous finish. This is as good as 2018 gets, and while it’s already impossible to resist, it’s going to evolve for 15+ years. SP34-4 -

Intense, concentrated and aromatic, this mouthwatering white is fresh and lively, with crisp Key lime pie and graham cracker notes followed by details of lemon blossoms, honeysuckle and lemon verbena. Col d’Orcia 2016 Poggio al Vento Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
$159.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
Super classic Brunello from a classic vintage, being released now. The perfume to this is really something, with cherries, flowers, lead pencil and light hints of graphite. Then it moves to raspberries and black cherries with some sandalwood shavings. You just want to smell it. Clear and transparent. Full-bodied with very fine and succinct tannins that fill the mouth and show super tension and form. Extremely long and structured. Beautiful now, but this will age for decades ahead. Drink or hold.
