  • Duemani CiFra 2021 Cabernet Franc

    $39.99$204.00

    Tuscany Italy
    Wine Advocate 93 Rating
The Duemani 2021 Cabernet Franc CiFRA is an entry-level wine that punches above its weight class (and its price point). This organic and biodynamic wine reveals dark, purplish fruit with a soft texture and velvety quality. It is layered with fresh blackberry, plum and tobacco, but the energy of the primary fruit is what stands out in this classic vintage.

  • DuMOL 2018 Wester Reach Pinot Noir

    $59.99

    Russian River Valley California
    Wine Enthusiast 95 Rating
A thick, rich opening of wild strawberry preserve and raspberry tea leads the way to a midpalate of grippy texture and lifted acidity in this impressive wine. Savory seasonings of black tea, forest floor and cardamom echo and add to the wine’s varietal complexity. R28-1

  • DuMol 2021 Isobel Charles Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay

    $89.99

    Sonoma Coast California
    Wine Advocate 98 Rating
The 2021 Chardonnay Isobel Charles Heintz Vineyard is the 20th bottling of a Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay at DuMOL. It was harvested September 25-27, matured in larger barrels and finished with six months in stainless steel. “There are very few better vintages of this,” winemaker Andy Smith exclaims during our tasting, and I have to agree. It’s bursting with scents of matchstick, chamomile, Greek yogurt and white peach, and over time, it unfurls unique spicy, herbal undertones. The palate is intensely concentrated, boasting expansive, dynamic flavors that segue from stone fruit to honey. Satiny and seamless, it has a tremendously long finish with mind-altering depth of flavor. Fans of Burgundy will love it for its flinty tones, and fans of California for its concentration and power. • Dunn 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain offers good density, but in more of a medium-bodied style that is quite a bit more approachable than is the norm here. A whole range of inky Howell Mountain fruit, graphite, grilled herb, licorice, spice, chocolate, and lavender nuances open up in a brooding, resonant Cabernet that needs a few years in bottle to start drinking well. There is plenty of the structure readers have come to expect from Dunn, but less youthful austerity, which is not a bad thing at all. SP29-2

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is outrageously beautiful. A wine of extraordinary purity, the 2019 dazzles right out of the gate. The tannins are nearly silky for a young Howell Mountain Cabernet. Red/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, rose petal and pomegranate all build in this sumptuous, explosive Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2019 is one of the most elegant Cabernets I have tasted here, and that is saying something What a wine! R10-3

  • Durfort-Vivens 2019 Les Plantes

    $39.99

    Margaux Bordeaux France

Maturing in two-thirds barrels and one-third amphorae, this wine is already beautiful. Made from 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows a fine balance between dense tannins and elegant, ripe black fruit. The promise for this biodynamic wine is immense and certainly long-term. SP48-6 CF-2

  • E. Guigal 2017 La Landonne Côte-Rôtie

    $399.99

    Northern Rhone Valley
    Jeb Dunnuck 97-100 Rating
A ripe, sexy nose of smoked game, truffly earth, chocolate, and jammy black and blue fruits emerge from the 2017 Côte Rôtie La Landonne. Made from 100% Syrah from the schist soils of the La Landonne lieu-dit, aged four years in oak, this massive, full-bodied 2017 shows the sexier, riper style of the vintage, yet it has incredible tannins, a deep, layered mid-palate, and nothing out of place. It will be interesting to see if it hits the heights of past great vintages, such as 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, or 2003, but it’s certainly in the same ballpark. R13-1

  • E. Guigal 2018 Gigondas

    $39.99

    Southern Rhone Valley France
    Wine Advocate 92 Rating
Guigal's 2018 Gigondas boasts floral, garrigue-laced aromas that lend complexity to notes of stone fruit and red raspberries. Full-bodied and concentrated, it's also supple and silky in feel, with a ripe, harmonious feel and a lingering finish. It's a testament to the Guigals' relationships in the appellation that this is one of their most delicious and consistent bottlings. R28-5

  • E. Guigal 2019 Cote-Rotie Brune et Blonde

    $89.99$480.00

    Northern Rhone Valley France
    Vinous 95 Rating
Inky ruby. Vibrant, spice-accented cherry and boysenberry scents are complicated by hints of black pepper, candied flowers and licorice. Supple and broad in the mouth, offering juicy red and blue fruit preserves, spicecake, olive paste and violet pastille flavors that tighten up steadily with air. The floral note repeats strongly on the clinging finish, which shows excellent clarity and velvety, slowly building tannins. There are almost a quarter-million bottles of this wine made in a typical vintage, by the way. 50% new oak.
