Le Pich 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon
$59.99 – $300.00Napa Valley California
Kevin Vogt Master Sommelier 95 Rating
The 2021 Le Pich Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning expression of Napa Valley’s finest. A deep, inky hue precedes a captivating nose of ripe blackberries, black currants, and blueberry compote, all interwoven with delicate floral notes of violets and a subtle waft of elegant vanilla. On the palate, the wine unfolds with rich, velvety tannins and a core of concentrated black cherry and cassis flavors. The fruit is both penetrating and opulent, showcasing the ripe, juicy character of the vintage. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of dark fruit and a touch of spice. This is a wine of exceptional quality and balance, offering a truly memorable drinking experience, as usual for this wine. R10-4

Lemelson 2022 Pinot Noir Thea’s Selection
$27.99 – $150.00Willamette Valley Oregon
Decanter Magazine 93 Rating
A cuvée from Lemelson’s five organic estate sites, this Pinot Noir is savoury and bright-fruited. The Thea’s Selection shows red currant, tart cranberry, and roughly chopped mint. The palate stays savoury with pine sap and dried herbs accenting intense pomegranate fruits, dried lavender, and structured black tea and clove notes.

Les Tourelles De Longueville 2020 Bordeaux Blend
$59.99 – $300.00Pauillac Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
Looking at the 2020 Les Tourelles De Longueville from the team at Pichon-Longueville Baron, this beauty is based on 64% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc aged in just 30% new French oak. Ripe red and black fruits, sappy tobacco, melted chocolate, and spicy notes all emerge from this medium-bodied, round, supple, undeniably delicious Pauillac. It has the vintage’s fresher, focused style, yet there’s plenty of charm here already. Drink bottles over the coming 15+ years.

Lillian 2019 Syrah
$124.99California
From the one and only Maggie Harrison, this cult-worthy Syrah is off the charts. The bouquet is a complex dance of dark fruit preserves, sandalwood, sweet flowers and spice-cake with mineral notes in the background. The fleshy, vivacious palate is packed tight with blueberry and violet. The finish is oh so long, framed in flowers and velvety tannins. Truly a knockout Syrah with the bones to age beautifully if you can keep your hands off it. R14-1 -

Limerick Lane “1910 Block” 2014 Russian River Valley Zinfandel
$69.99California
Wine Advocate 96 Rating
My highest score went to the 2014 Proprietary Red 1910 Block, which comes from an historic terroir planted in 1910. The plot is 4.7 acres, and while it is dominated by Zinfandel, the likes of Peloursin, Négrette, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Carignan are also found there. Those varieties are all co-fermented together for this wine, which was aged 18 months in neutral oak and 100% destemmed. Inky purple, it offers up notes of blackberry and blueberry liqueur with creosote, charcoal, earth, licorice and underbrush. It has a dense, full-bodied, opulent texture, beautiful, plush tannins, and adequate but relatively low acidity. This big, juicy, exuberant, hedonistic fruit bomb should drink well for another 7-8 years. The finished alcohol is 15.1%. R17-4
