  • Lillian 2019 Syrah

    $124.99

    California
From the one and only Maggie Harrison, this cult-worthy Syrah is off the charts. The bouquet is a complex dance of dark fruit preserves, sandalwood, sweet flowers and spice-cake with mineral notes in the background. The fleshy, vivacious palate is packed tight with blueberry and violet. The finish is oh so long, framed in flowers and velvety tannins. Truly a knockout Syrah with the bones to age beautifully if you can keep your hands off it. R14-1

  • Limerick Lane “1910 Block” 2014 Russian River Valley Zinfandel

    $69.99

    California
    Wine Advocate 96 Rating
My highest score went to the 2014 Proprietary Red 1910 Block, which comes from an historic terroir planted in 1910. The plot is 4.7 acres, and while it is dominated by Zinfandel, the likes of Peloursin, Négrette, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Carignan are also found there. Those varieties are all co-fermented together for this wine, which was aged 18 months in neutral oak and 100% destemmed. Inky purple, it offers up notes of blackberry and blueberry liqueur with creosote, charcoal, earth, licorice and underbrush. It has a dense, full-bodied, opulent texture, beautiful, plush tannins, and adequate but relatively low acidity. This big, juicy, exuberant, hedonistic fruit bomb should drink well for another 7-8 years. The finished alcohol is 15.1%. R17-4

  • Lingua Franca 2022 Mimi’s Mind Pinot Noir

    $69.99

    Eola-Amity Hills Oregon
    Wine Spectator 95 Rating
Fleshy in texture but steely at the core, with vibrant acidity and crushed stone accents framed by raspberry, guava, fresh violet and black tea flavors that gather tension toward fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2034. 586 cases made. SP7-6

Beautiful cherries and dried wild strawberry on the nose, together with dried orange peel, mild spices and a touch of cocoa. Tense and well structured, vibrant and fresh, with medium body, lively acidity and a zesty, crunchy finish.

Created in 1981, Terre Alte is considered one of Italy’s most prestigious white wines. The balanced blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon grapes, estate-grown at Rosazzo in the historic Terre Alte vineyards, yields a superbly elegant wine with a profusion of intense fruit and flower aromas. • Lokoya 2018 Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Coming from two estate vineyards consisting of pure volcanic soils, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District sports deep purple/ruby color to go with a brilliant, full-bodied, seamless wine that’s going to flirt with perfection at maturity. Blackcurrants, chocolate, loamy earth, tobacco, and violet notes define the bouquet, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a voluptuous, layered mouthfeel, ample tannins, and a great finish. This is another magical, mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from this estate that needs a good 4-5 years of bottle age, if not more, and will cruise for decades in cold cellars. R19-2 SP22-1
