Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is very pretty on the nose, super floral with notes of blackcurrant bud, violet, bitter chocolate, cedar and classy new oak spices plus loads of red berry sparks. The palate is medium-bodied, lifted, floral and fresh, with a gently chalky texture and long, uplifted finish.

  • Barlow Vineyards 2014 Barrouge

    Barlow Vineyards 2014 Barrouge

The 2014 Barrouge has a wonderful red cherry element with hints of sweet vanilla and cocoa. The palate is loaded with bright ripe raspberry and hints of plum. The wine finishes with soft elegant tannins and touches of roasted almonds derived from the French oak. R15-2 SP22-1

Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit and herb spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry with cacao, licorice and earthy herb notes. Fine soft tannins, nice acidity, good balance on long finish ending with fruit, tobacco and cedar notes. Drinking well now! SP17-2

  • Barnett Vineyards 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

    Barnett Vineyards 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $74.99

    Spring Mountain District Napa Valley
The 2017 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the darkest we’ve made. Big black raspberry jumps from the glass as well as blueberry jam and black pepper. There is a bright chocolate element surrounded by cedar notes. The mouthfeel is rich and lush with a lot more dark fruit as well as cigar box and mocha. The tannins are significant, very big, and chalky. While the mountain acidity is firm it is the tannins that dominate. There is a long black raspberry and mocha finish to the wine. This sizeable Cabernet will age amazingly over the next 14-15 years (2033-2034). SP26-7

I loved these wines from barrel last year, and they didn't disappoint from bottle. Starting with the Santa Lucia Highlands release, the 2019 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard has a deep, nuanced yet powerful style that offers impressive black raspberry and red currant fruits to go with lots of spice, loamy soil, spring flower, and earthy forest floor notes. Gorgeously textured on the palate, this medium to full-bodied Pinot has ripe, polished tannins, a great mid-palate, and the fruit and opulence to drink nicely today yet also evolve for a good 7-8 years, if you're so inclined. SP1-1

    Napa Valley California

This is packed with dark, winey flavors of black currant and blackberry paste underscored with alder, sweet tobacco, warm paving stone and black licorice notes, while a violet accent fills the background. The polished finish makes this accessible now, but there’s plenty of life ahead. Drink now through 2042. BX-6 R45-5

Graceful and detailed, with lilting raspberry and cherry flavors that unfurl to reveal fresh violet, cinnamon and orange peel accents as this builds richness and complexity toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2032. R30-6
