This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon features big, round, silky, and lush blackberry flavors with sagebrush nuances and dark chocolate. It is full-bodied with a rich, dense black and blue fruit core, complemented by tantalizing acidity. Dazzling in its opulence, it is perfectly balanced by superb, fine-grained tannins and bright minerality. Favia is the project of husband-and-wife duo viticulturist Annie Favia and winemaker Andy Erickson R12-3 SPBX-3 -
Jim Barry 2012 The Armagh Shiraz
$239.99South Australia
Wine Advocate 98+ Rating
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Shiraz The Armagh offers a gorgeous perfume of baking spices, violets, Sichuan pepper and fragrant earth. More earthy and savory in the mouth than on the nose, the palate is superbly structured and taut—built for the long-haul—with a long, complex finish. Still very youthfully, forget this wine for 3-5 more years and consider drinking it over the next 20+. R45-1 -
Marciano 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
$239.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 98+ Rating
Bottled in September of this year, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate checks in as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc brought up in French oak. Its inky purple color is followed by classic notes of blackcurrants, lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, and hints of crushed rock. Deep, seamless, ultra-pure, and incredibly classic on the palate, it's another brilliant, classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Morgan Maureze. It’s slightly more reserved than the 2015 (which is to be expected as the vintages are dramatically different) and is going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age. R26-2 -
Dom Perignon 2013 Brut
$249.99Champagne France
James Suckling 98 Rating
A driven and serious DP with aromas of chalk, biscuits, apricot stones and lemons. Some spice and dried flowers, too. So sleek and sophisticated. Elegant. Yet, it’s long and powerful, with a sharp minerality. Tight and precise. Reminds me of bottles from the 1980s, such as 1988. It really takes off. Disgorged October 2021. Drinkable on release in January 2023, but better in a couple of years. A DP for the cellar.
Must be ordered.

A perfect wine that’s up with the top handful of wines in this incredible vintage, the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Collection Charles Giraud (60/40 Grenache and Mourvèdre) boasts a sensational nose of currants, cured meats, kirsch, exotic spices, and sandalwood. Deep, full-bodied and powerful, yet with an incredible sense of elegance and purity, it just glides across the palate and, despite its awesome intensity, it never seems heavy or over the top. -
Domaine Rapet Père et Fils 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
$249.99Burgundy France
Wine Advocate 95 Rating
With the 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Rapet has produced his finest white since 2014. The wine opens in the glass with a classy nose of ripe lemons, green apple, white flowers and crushed chalk, framed by subtle hints of oatmeal and beeswax. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with excellent concentration and broad shoulders, but also promising structural tension and reserve. The long, chalky finish is penetrating and intense. This is well worth seeking out. R22-3 -
Peter Michael 2018 Les Pavots
$249.99Knights Valley
James Suckling 97 Rating
Love the sweet berries, black olives, tile and fresh herbs on the nose with floral undertones. Oyster shell, too. Full-bodied with round, creamy tannins that are beautifully polished and refined. Very long finish. All about finesse and wonderful length. 68% cabernet sauvignon, 19% cabernet franc, 10% merlot and 3% petit verdot. Drink after 2023. BX-6 -

Grown in the southern, cooler end of the valley and brought up in a mix of new and used French Oak, this is quintessential Coombsville, expressing the volcanic soils and cool temperatures with textural and aromatic intensity. The stunning 100% Cabernet Sauvignon mesmerizes at the first swirl of the glass with seductive aromatics of dark currants and cassis accented by candied violets, pencil lead and tobacco. The full-bodied palate offers flawless balance, seamless tannins, and a long, supple finish. This will age gracefully for multiple decades. SP30-1
