Domaine de Chevalier 2010 Bordeaux Blend
$119.99Pessac Leognan Bordeaux
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The 2010 Domaine de Chevalier is still a baby, yet with air, offers tons of pleasure. Black currants, truffle, scorched earth, and licorice aromas and flavors all give way to a big, concentrated, unctuous beauty that has ample sweetness to its tannin, a stacked mid-palate, and a blockbuster finish. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot, it needs an hour in a decanter if drinking anytime soon, and certainly has another two decades of longevity in front of it. It’s a sensational bottle of wine. R12-2 -
Delas Freres 2011 Hermitage Les Bessards
$209.99Northern Rhone Valley
Wine Advocate 99 Rating
Even better and one of the top two to three wines in the vintage, the 2011 Hermitage Les Bessards (100% Syrah that spent 16 months in 70% new French oak) possesses an inky purple color to go with a fabulously rich, pure bouquet of smoked earth, ground pepper, underbrush and licorice that’s supported by awesome black raspberry and cassis-styled fruit. Full-bodied, seamless and layered, with masses of sweet tannin and notable structure, this beauty bucks the vintage stereotype and will need short-term cellaring to become approachable. It will have 2-3 decades of longevity. R25-1 -
Marciano 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
$239.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 98+ Rating
Bottled in September of this year, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate checks in as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc brought up in French oak. Its inky purple color is followed by classic notes of blackcurrants, lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, and hints of crushed rock. Deep, seamless, ultra-pure, and incredibly classic on the palate, it's another brilliant, classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Morgan Maureze. It’s slightly more reserved than the 2015 (which is to be expected as the vintages are dramatically different) and is going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age. R26-2 -
Sojourn 2022 Pinot Noir Rogers Creek Vineyard
$59.99 – $300.00Sonoma Coast California
A warm 2022 summer brought one of the earliest harvests on record in the Sonoma Coast, with a September heat wave influencing some picking decisions. Cooler pockets of the Sonoma Coast fared well through the heat and the resulting wines offer depth and finesse. Yields were miniscule, with many vineyards breaking records on the low side for cluster weights. The resulting wines have concentrated flavors with tension and length. Pommard clone again dominates the final 2022 blend with earthy tones overlaying layers of red fruit flavors. A portion of each block was co-fermented whole cluster in 2022. Rodgers Creek Vineyard benefitted from the September heat wave, while the fog and wind tempered the microclimate. This vintage offers a broader palate and bold structure.

Carpe Diem 2018 Pinot Noir
$29.99 – $300.00Anderson Valley Mendocino California
Decanter Magazine 95 Rating
Carpe Diem Pinot Noir is an exciting wine that is positively lean in style, and then a pure, dry strawberry fruit asserts itself on the palate, mingled with herbs and rosehip, and just a little nutty sweetness to soften it.

Dominus Estate 2016 Red
$399.99Napa Valley California
Wine Advocate 100 Rating
A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc aged in 40% new oak, the 2016 Proprietary Red Wine is deep purple-black in color and quite reticent at this youthful stage to begin, offering up subtle notions of potpourri, Indian spices, cigar box and iron ore over a core of crushed blackberries and black cherries with intermittent wafts of black and red currants, new leather and smoked meats. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a densely packed mid-palate and oodles of freshness framed by very ripe, finely grained tannins and laced with compelling earthy accents. It offers incredible vibrancy with tons of black and red fruit sparkle in the mid-palate leading to a provocative mineral element on the very long finish. If I could give more than 100 for this one, I would. R42-2 SP11-2 -
Seghesio Family Vineyards 2024 Vermentino Keyhole Ranch
$19.99 – $108.00Russian River Valley California
A vibrant medley of fresh pear, lime leaf, and zesty lime zest opens on the nose, complemented by delicate notes of lemon peel, lemongrass, and fragrant orange blossom. The palate is bright and juicy, with hints of lychee and fresh citrus adding complexity. Crisp acidity enhances the lively, refreshing finish.
Steamed clams, mussels, or oysters would be an ideal pairing. Grilled halibut, crab, English pea risotto, or pasta with pesto would make for a perfect pairing as well. For cheese, fresh ricotta or burrata are excellent matches.

A great taste of this iconic estate without breaking the bank, this bottling is light in the glass with aromas of dried cherry, scorched earth and chaparral spice. The palate combines cranberry sauce and toasted sagebrush with an ample tannin profile.
