Here, the production is mainly focused on red wines, especially from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Known for their elegance, structure and longevity. Saint-Julien extends over a relatively small territory. Despite this, it is home to some of the most prestigious wineries in the Bordeaux region. Here, the soils are rich in pebbles that ensure good drainage, creating the ideal conditions for growing vines. This is particularly the case of Beychevelle, whose vines are located on the magnificent gravel slopes that slope down to the Garonne and in the immediate vicinity of the Gironde. In addition, the presence of the two rivers guarantees a beneficial and regulating effect on the climate. 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc, this red Bordeaux fully respects the soul of its terroir of origin. Garnet red and compact, the nose reveals notes of black fruits, with notes of cedar and aromatic herbs. On the palate, on the other hand, it reveals a pleasantly full-bodied wine, with firm and well-integrated tannins. Juicy and flavorful, it has a well-balanced structure, with a savory finish.
