Flowers 2023 Estate Bottled Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge
$99.99Sonoma Coast California
Antonio Galloni 96 Rating
The 2023 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge is fabulous. Rich, unctuous and layered, the 2023 offers a striking mix of concentration, fruit and coastal energy. Apricot, lemon confit, white flowers and slate all meld together in the glass. This unctuous, oily Chardonnay is a total delight. It was fermented and aged in 500- and 820-liter barrels, 24% new. Soaring lemon cream aromatics accented by notes of seaspray, lemongrass and beeswax mark this coastal Chardonnay from Flowers on the Sonoma Coast. The palate is fresh and linear. Oyster shell salinity, bee pollen and grilled lemon make for a savoury balance with delicate crushed chalk minerality.

Freemark Abbey 2023 Chardonnay
Price range: $29.99 through $300.00Napa Valley California
James Suckling 94 Rating
Beautifully layered and slightly rich yet well balanced. A luxurious but fresh-tasting wine that leads with toasted almonds and brown butter, then crisp apples and Bosc pears. Winemaker Kristy Melton goes for a middle ground between ripeness and nervy austerity, so this wine reaches a deft balance. Jim Gordon.

Frias Family 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon SMD
$89.99Napa Valley California
Wine Advocate 93 Rating
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 SMD Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain is redolent of crème de cassis, dried mulberries, fruitcake and fragrant earth, with hints of fallen leaves, tobacco leaf, earth, spice box and chocolate box. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of spicy black fruit preserves with a firm, grainy texture and plenty of freshness, finishing long and layered. Only 547 cases were made. -
Frias Family Vineyard 2020 Lady of the Dead
$39.99Napa Valley California
The 2020 LADY OF THE DEAD features a dark fruit core of bramble berries, Morello cherry, candied fruits, vanilla, cedar, allspice and tilled earth along with notes of leather. The soft fruit entry comes with spiced dried fruits, a nice acid and tannin balance to support the medium weighted body and fruits that linger and gently gain weight. The bright plum-laced concentrated fruit finishes with an uptick of spices and toasted oak. R14-3 -
Gagnon Kennedy 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon
$149.99Monte Rosso Vineyard Moon Mountain District Sonoma
Enjoyabilityfactor 97 Rating
The essence of the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard’s bright red volcanic soils appeared to be magically carried over into the aromatics and color of the wine during fermentation. However, post elevage and assemblage, the wine transmogrified itself into a cabernet of blue/black complexion. The aromatics are effusive of freshly baked mixed berry pie, cinnamon, allspice, bay leaf, and sweet cacaoa nibs from the 60% new French Oak barrels. On the palate, this wine is probably the least tannic in our entire portfolio of Cabernets. The pedigree of the Monte Rosso vineyard, especially considering the difficult growing conditions of the 2020 vintage, is exemplified by the intensity of fruit and electric minerality. The wine’s extended finish is enveloped with a welcoming intensity of medium-fine tannin.
