Baca 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon
Price range: $24.99 through $276.00Napa Valley California
Enjoyabilityfactor 93 Rating
Kathryn Hall makes a solid range of bold reds and this inaugural release of BACA Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley marks one of the best QPR wines in her entire lineup. Essentially declassified fruit from a handful of her higher-end wines that sell for considerably more money. Big, rich and unapologetic, this packs a serious punch for the price!

A pretty red, with a steady beam of raspberry and cherry coulis flecked with red tea and savory. The streamlined finish shows a late tug of red licorice. Drink now through 2027.

Barnett Vineyards 2023 Chardonnay Sangiacomo Vineyard
Price range: $49.99 through $270.00Carneros
Enjoyabilityfactor 92 Rating
Sangiacomo Chardonnay is a beautiful bright gold color with powerful aromatics. Passionfruit and kiwi jump from the glass, which is matched by spiciness, mainly white pepper. There are layers of honeysuckle and jasmine. Round and rich this is a very luscious wine. The fruit moves to more apricot and pear on the palate while pretty jasmine persists. This is a lush rich wine that can be enjoyed in its youth or develop nicely over the next 6-7 years.

Beau Marchais 2019 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard
$84.99Santa Lucia Highlands California
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
I loved these wines from barrel last year, and they didn't disappoint from bottle. Starting with the Santa Lucia Highlands release, the 2019 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard has a deep, nuanced yet powerful style that offers impressive black raspberry and red currant fruits to go with lots of spice, loamy soil, spring flower, and earthy forest floor notes. Gorgeously textured on the palate, this medium to full-bodied Pinot has ripe, polished tannins, a great mid-palate, and the fruit and opulence to drink nicely today yet also evolve for a good 7-8 years, if you're so inclined. Beaulieu Vineyard BV 2021 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
$149.99Napa Valley California
Wine Spectator 95 Rating
This is packed with dark, winey flavors of black currant and blackberry paste underscored with alder, sweet tobacco, warm paving stone and black licorice notes, while a violet accent fills the background. The polished finish makes this accessible now, but there’s plenty of life ahead. Drink now through 2042. BX-6 R45-5 -

Bedrock 2018 Bedrock Vineyard Heritage
$49.99Sonoma Valley California
Wine Advocate 94 Rating
Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Bedrock Vineyard Heritage opens with fantastic perfume: ripe peach, sliced blueberries, warm red cherries, underbrush, violet and dried tangerine peel with nuances of crushed stone, dried hollyhock and exotic spices. Medium-bodied, it floods the mouth with singularly perfumed fruit layers, with a chewy frame and wicked freshness, finishing long and evolving. Wow! Just a pup, give this another year or two in bottle and drink it over the next 10-15 years. SP20-3 -

The 2015 Evangelho Heritage Wine is another highlight in this lineup. Sublime aromatics, red stone fruit and finessed tannins elevate the Evangelho. Nuanced to the core, the 2015 exudes class and pedigree. The Evangelho is not as obvious as some of the other wines in the range, but it is among the most beautiful. Drink through 2027. SP12-8 -
