  • Tapiz Alta Collection 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $19.99$204.00

    Tupungato Argentina
    Vinous 92 Rating
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Alta Collection comes from San Pablo in the Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months in a combination of first and second-use French (95%) and American oak barrels (5%). Reddish-purple in the glass. The nuanced aromatic profile features redcurrant, blackcurrant, elderberry and mountain herb notes. It’s dry and juicy on the palate, with finely-grained tannins and well-balanced acidity thanks to precise grape selection. This high-altitude Cabernet Sauvignon is a delightfully distinctive mountain wine enhanced further by the cool year.

The 2020 Malbec Tikal Amorio from Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley was 80% aged in barrels. Purple in the glass. The nose presents notes of ripe plum, herbs and floral hints over gentle but well-defined aromas from the aging process. Delicate in the mouth with a leisurely, juicy flow and taut texture, flavors of oak and candy gather at the back of the throat. A convincing, flavorful combination.

  • Zorzal Wines 2016 Eggo Tinto de Tiza

    $19.99

    Tupungato Mendoza Argentina
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The incredible 2016 Eggo Tinto de Tiza was cropped from one of the coolest years in recent times, which provided a slow ripening of the grapes and resulted in wines with higher natural acidity. This wine is now exclusively Malbec from Gualtallary. It fermented with 10% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in egg-shaped concrete vats, where the wine matured for ten months. It’s super aromatic, with notes of thyme, oregano, spices and something earthy, like the countryside after the rain. It’s young and has an explosive, vibrant palate with electric acidity and chalky tannins. 2016 could very well be the finest vintage to date, one of those vintages that will be legendary. This is just unbelievable for the price.
