  • Epoch Estate Wines 2016 Syrah Block B

    $99.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Coming all from a single parcel in the estate Paderewski Vineyard (all Syrah, and clone 174) and raised in 80% new French oak, the 2016 Syrah Block B reveals a saturated purple color as well as a massive bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, bacon fat, graphite, ground pepper, and violets. Deep, rich, and powerful, yet still light on its feet, it's one of the most singular, brilliant Syrahs in the vintage. R6-3

  • Epoch Estate Wines 2017 Syrah Block B

    $99.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
It's always a more masculine, powerful Syrah, and the 2017 is no exception. It delivers loads of black fruits, bloody meat, marine-like salinity and minerality, full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and a blockbuster of a finish. This shows the sexy, ripe style of the vintage, and while it's a joy to drink today, it certainly has a solid decade of life ahead of it. SP15-2

  • Purlieu 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

    $119.99$600.00

    California
    Vinous 93 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) saturates the palate with blackberry jam, chocolate, spice, new leather, licorice and cedar. This sumptuous, exuberant wine is a terrific introduction to the higher-end wines in the Purlieu range. It’s definitely a show stopper, that much is obvious. Vineyard sites are Sleeping Lady, Caldwell and Georges III.

  • Hartford Court 2014 Pinot Noir Arrendell Vineyard

    $109.99

    Russian River Valley California

What is usually their finest Pinot Noir hails from Hartford’s oldest vines, planted with the Martini clone in 1975. The 2014 Pinot Noir Arrendell Vineyard is often not picked until after Halloween, as it is one of the coldest vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Its spicy, complex notes of allspice, sassafras, sweet black cherries and Asian plum sauce are exotic, fragrant and intense. The superb fragrance is matched by an exotic, silky, fleshy wine with dark berries (especially ripe raspberries and black cherries), soft tannins, and full body. This is a head-turning “wow” Pinot Noir to drink over the next decade. R15-1

  • Sine Qua Non 2017 Tectumque

    $249.99

    California
    Wine Advocate 97 Rating
Tectumque means “shelter” in Latin. This wine was initially going to be called “Inconnue” (“unknown” in French), but that name had already been trademarked. “Naming wines is becoming impossible,” mentioned Manfred. “Everything has already been taken. Even, 'No Name!'” This is a blend of 38% Roussanne, 31% Petit Manseng, 18% Chardonnay, 9% Viognier and 4% Muscat. The vineyard components are 52% Cumulus Estate, 19% Eleven Confessions Estate, 18% Bien Nacido Vineyard and 11% The Third Twin Estate. It spent around 20 months aging in 9% concrete eggs, 4% amphora, 9% used barrels and 78% new French oak puncheons. R5-1

  • Lillian 2019 Syrah

    $124.99

    California
From the one and only Maggie Harrison, this cult-worthy Syrah is off the charts. The bouquet is a complex dance of dark fruit preserves, sandalwood, sweet flowers and spice-cake with mineral notes in the background. The fleshy, vivacious palate is packed tight with blueberry and violet. The finish is oh so long, framed in flowers and velvety tannins. Truly a knockout Syrah with the bones to age beautifully if you can keep your hands off it. R14-1

  • Dalla Valle 2013 Maya

    $499.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Advocate 100 Rating

The flagship wine, and one of the first in Napa Valley to emphasize the fabulous potential of Cabernet Franc in specific terroirs, is the 2013 Maya Proprietary Red Wine. This wine usually spends about 22 months in new oak and normally has anywhere from 45% to as much as 60% Cabernet Franc blended with the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013 could well be the finest they’ve made to date, and that includes a lot of profound wines. An incredibly complex nose of charcoal embers, blackberry and cassis, some blueberries as well as white flowers, and a touch of forest floor is followed by a full-bodied wine with sweet, well-integrated tannins, a multi-dimensional mouthfeel, and a finish that goes on for close to a minute. This is absolutely remarkable wine – powerful, dense, but at the sane time, precise and elegant. It’s hard to believe, but I think this wine can probably age and improve for 25-40 years. Don’t miss it if you have access to it. R23-1 SP23-1
