Enticing scents of ripe wild berry, star anise, menthol and fragrant blue flower mingle with whiffs of camphor and espresso. The smooth, precise palate offers crushed raspberry, Marasca cherry, licorice and dried botanical herbs alongside fine-grained tannins. Fresh acidity lifts the finish. Enjoy through 2027. R21-3 BX-6

    Wine Advocate 94 Rating
The 2022 Zinfandel Pagani Ranch is a blend of 82% Zinfandel, 9% Alicante Bouschet, 5% Petite Sirah and 4% Mataro. It has layered scents of blueberry preserves, yellow peach, toasted coconut and floral perfume. The palate combines generous, layered, fragrant flavors with silky tannins and bursts of mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, expressive finish.” -Erin Brooks (September 2024)

  • Quinta do Noval 2000 Vintage Port

    $129.99

    Portugal
    Wine Enthusiast 95 Rating
One of the vintage’s standouts, the 2000 Quinta do Noval is incredibly rich and intense, with a density that made me think I should reach for a spoon. Chocolate and coffee, prune and date aromas; plum cake flavors. Despite the richness, there is a superb backbone of acidity and ripe tannins that suggests peak maturity is probably two decades or more away. R32-1

  • St. Michael-Eppan 2022 Pinot Grigio

    $19.99$204.00

    Sudtirol Trentino-Alto Adige Italy
St. Michael Eppan’s Alto Adige Pinot Grigio was born at 400-500 meters above sea level in the vineyards of the municipalities of Appiano and Caldaro. The wine is a pure Pinot Grigio, whose grapes are harvested at the end of September. The must is fermented in steel vats, where it also partially carries out the malolactic fermentation. In the glass it has a straw yellow color with light greenish reflections. The nose opens with hints of both white and yellow pulp fruit. On the palate it is warm and soft. Ideal as an aperitif on its own and as an accompaniment to simple cold land and sea appetizers.

  • Torres 2015 Salmos

    $39.99$210.00

    Priorat Spain
    Wine Advocate 91 Rating
Along with the 2014, I also tasted the 2015 Salmos, which is from an earlier and riper year. It's a similar blend of Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah from the same vineyards and produced in a similar way, with fermentation in stainless steel and aged in French barriques for 14 months. The wine showed more finesse and freshness than the 2014, and there is more depth and complexity here too. There are some tannins that would welcome food and/or some more time in bottle. Very tasty. • Cantina Lavis 2022 Pinot Grigio Trentino

    $13.99$132.00

    Italy
The Pinot Grigio has been grown in Trentino for decades. Now converted to organic production, the foothill and valley vineyards of Lavis and Gardolo, with their sandy loam soils of Avisio river deposits and alluvial sediments from the Adige, provide the perfect growing environment for Pinot Grigio. The wine possesses an intense golden yellow color, with a warm, inviting bouquet rich in scents of ripe fruits and honey. It has a distinctive rich minerality, with a long and fruity after-taste.

  • Robert Foley Vineyards 2019 Petite Sirah

    $69.99$360.00

    Napa Valley California
This inky deep purple colored Petite Sirah from Calistoga might be Bob’s best yet. It opens with a mulberry and stewed plum bouquet with hints of sweet black olive, dark chocolate, espresso, and baking spice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, velvety, and supple. The flavor profile is a loam and black raspberry blend with notes of minerality, oak, anise, and blueberry. We also detected hints of nutmeg and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its grippy tannins are very prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this Petite Sirah with a Tuscan veal chop, ox tail stew, or with osso buco. Enjoy – KWGTP
