Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars 2022 Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon
Price range: $72.99 through $390.00Napa Valley California
Decanter Magazine 94 Rating
A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5% Cabernet Franc, and 0.5% Petit Verdot, aged for 15 months in 55% new French oak and 45% older French oak barrels. No matter the vintage, this winery consistently delivers. Artemis offers classic blackberry fruit, sagebrush, and loamy earth, with tobacco influences. Medium- to full-bodied on the palate, with precise, superfine tannins and layers of cherry, blackberry, graphite, and perfumed violets building toward a finish full of energy, drive, and tension. Ideal for enjoying on its own before a meal and throughout dinner. The tannins in this vintage are notably gentle and approachable, making it an excellent candidate for early drinking.

Petra 2022 Zingari Toscana Rosso
Price range: $19.99 through $192.00Tuscany Italy
Wine Enthusiast 90 Rating
The nose opens clean and fresh, with blackberries, mulberries and wild mint, then turns denser and savory with aromas of tar and leather. The satiny palate remains balanced, between the sweetness of mixed berries and the savoriness of damp earth and crushed rocks.

Col d’Orcia 2016 Poggio al Vento Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
$159.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
Super classic Brunello from a classic vintage, being released now. The perfume to this is really something, with cherries, flowers, lead pencil and light hints of graphite. Then it moves to raspberries and black cherries with some sandalwood shavings. You just want to smell it. Clear and transparent. Full-bodied with very fine and succinct tannins that fill the mouth and show super tension and form. Extremely long and structured. Beautiful now, but this will age for decades ahead. Drink or hold.
