Abbazia di Novacella 2024 Sylvaner
Price range: $27.99 through $276.00Alto Adige Valle Isarco Italy
The Sylvaner of the Novacella Abbey originates from vineyards located in the Bressanone basin, in the Isarco Valley, characterized by cool nights and good ventilation. It ferments and ages almost entirely in stainless steel, with a quarter of the mass carrying out both phases in acacia barrels. The aging duration is at least 6 months. Straw yellow in color with greenish hues, it has a beautiful fruity nose that revolves around hints of ripe pear and melon. On the palate it surprises in terms of robustness and structure, but at the same time for elegance. Perfect in combination with the first courses of South Tyrolean cuisine, especially with dumplings, but also with salads and asparagus mousse.

Sean Minor Signature Series 2023 Chardonnay
Price range: $22.99 through $216.00Sonoma Coast California
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
Aromas of papaya, pineapple, ginger and lemon peel drive the nose of this tropical-fruited Chardonnay. The palate brings on an element of roasted apple, barrel spice and a more decadent mouthfeel. The finish vibrates neatly between pithy lemon peel and racy acid with flowers all over. Quite charming.

iL Poggione 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli
$129.99Tuscany Italy
Wine Advocate 97 Rating
This single-vineyard Riserva delivers a generous, abundant and determined personality. This is Brunello with a capital B. The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli benefits from a warm and sun-soaked microclimate that is shielded from cold winter winds. You can taste the good health of the grapes thanks to those very direct aromas of black cherry, plum, tar, campfire ash and chalky mineral. The Paganelli vineyard is 12 hectares in size, with vines planted in 1964. The last time this wine was made was in 2012. Fruit from those old vines shape complex aromas, elegant tannins and bright freshness. Despite that handsome DNA, this is another new release from Il Poggione that will require more cellar age. Peter Michael Winery 2018 La Carriere Chardonnay
$109.99Knights Valley
Wine Advocate 97 Rating
La Carriere is situated at an elevation of around 1,200-1,700 feet with a rocky, shallow, volcanic soil that gives low fertility and is among the lowest yields of all the Peter Michael vineyards. The vineyard is planted to Dijon and Hyde (Old Wente) clone selections. This 2018 Chardonnay la Carriere starts off very citrusy, leaping from the glass with notes of fresh limes and grapefruit, before coming through with alluring honey-drizzled peaches, fresh ginger and preserved kumquat notes. The medium to full-bodied palate is super-intense with beautiful tension lighting up a shimmering palate of citrus and mineral layers, finishing long and steely. R35-4 -

Hundred Acre 2016 Ark Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
$799.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard is largely cut from the same cloth and reveals a purple/ruby hue as well as a deep, profound bouquet of blue fruits, cassis, dried violets, Asian spices, vanilla-laced coffee, and a whiff of new leather. Complex, full-bodied, and magically textured, it packs loads of fruit and opulence yet stays flawlessly balanced, has silky tannins, no hard edges and a majestic, singular personality. As with the 2015, drink this thrilling wine any time over the coming 30+ years. SP13-2
