Kosta Browne 2014 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
Wine Advocate 93 Rating

The last of the appellation releases, the 2014 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast was brought up in 55% new French oak, which is slightly more than the 2013. Deep, rich and earthy, with notes of bouquet garni, smoked earth, licorice and dark fruits, it has full-bodied richness, a big mid-palate and is packed with gorgeous amounts of fruit. It’s a big, rich wine from this cool climate appellation, yet I suspect it will show more classic Sonoma Coast characteristics with a year or two in bottle. It’s a beautiful wine.

Kosta Browne 2015 Pinot Noir Santa Luicia Highlands
James Suckling 93 Rating

Very floral and beautiful with plum and citrus with hints of smoke. Medium to full body, creamy texture and beautiful length. Firm and silky. Dry and beautiful. Drink or hold.

Kosta Browne 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating

The 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is straight up classic. Black raspberries, spice, caramelized cherries and forest floor characteristics all flow to a rich, balanced, gorgeously textured wine that has perfectly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol. It has fine, yet present tannin and a great finish.

Kosta Browne 2015 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast
James Suckling 97 Rating

Blueberry, blackberry, lavender, and ripe strawberry. Stunning aromas. Full body, with super fine tannins that are compressed and extremely long. It goes on for minutes. Even better in 2020.

Kosta Browne 2016 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating

A step up over the Russian River blend, the 2016 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast offers more red fruits, raspberries, flowers, and rose petal notes, with a pinewood/forest floor character developing with time in the glass. This medium-bodied, silky, elegant Pinot Noir has a terrific sense of minerality, integrated acidity, and a complex, nuanced style that’s going to evolve nicely.

Kosta Browne 2016 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating

The 2016 Pinot Noir Gaps Crown comes from a great, great site on the Sonoma Coast and saw 15% whole clusters and 40% new wood. It’s a deep, rich, blacker fruit-driven effort that shows more and more savory, iron, and earthy notes with time in the glass. It’s ripe and opulent on the palate, with building tannin, yet packs a wealth of fruit and texture, while still showing the more elegant, balanced style of the vintage.
