Powerful and concentrated but oh so suave, this smooth and velvety wine holds its ripe black fruits gently in ultrafine tannins for an expression that is tempting now but will only get better with time. Black currants, black cherries, dark plums, vanilla, cedar and cloves all come to the party. Best from 2025–2040. This vineyard tends to be among the earliest ripening of the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards that include Screaming Eagle, Tench, Rudd and Dalla Valle it is no wonder that another nearby vintner has coined the term “Magic Hill” for this unique eastern hillside part of Oakville.
