A new wine in distribution at an insanely fair price, the 2024 Red Blend Shining Hill blends 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 7% Malbec, and 4% Syrah from the Quintessence and Estate vineyards. From a single lot, it saw aging in 60% new French oak, so to be clear, no shortcuts were taken. The full-bodied result is celebratory in vibrant blue and black fruit, inky color, with seamless tannins and a length of cola, blackberry, and white and black pepper. It dazzles in approachability, with excellent winemaking to back it up. Drink now through 2036.
