Robert Biale Vineyards 2019 Basic Black Red Blend
$54.99 – $276.00California
International Wine Review 92 Rating
Far from basic, the ‘Basic Black’ is a compelling blend of 26% Grenache, 19% Early Burgundy, 17% Tempranillo, 14% Syrah, 12% Carignan and 12% Zinfandel sourced from largely Sonoma County as well as Napa Valley. This highly complex bottling shows black tea, boysenberry liquor, cigar ash and mocha aromatics on the nose. Forward and rich, this displays nice combination of dark and red fruits on the palate with smoky undertones.

Robert Craig 2019 Affinity Cabernet Sauvignon
$49.99Napa Valley California
Vinous 92 Rating
Pliant, racy and super-expressive. A burst of red cherry fruit, blood orange, spice, menthol and licorice give this boisterous blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec tons of appeal. Soft contours and silky tannins add to its considerable appeal. This red blend from vineyards in Coombsville is terrific. regular $59.99 R42-4 -
Robert Foley Vineyards 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
$89.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
Not far off the flagship cuvée, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is 100% varietal sourced from Howell Mountain, Atlas Peak, Mt. Veeder, and Calistoga. It spent 18 months in just 40% new French oak. This full-bodied, incredibly classic Cabernet offers impressive crème de cassis, graphite, and lead pencil notes, terrific mid-palate depth, a wonderful sweetness in its fruit, and a great finish. It’s another terrific wine from this estate that you can drink today or cellar for 15 years or more. R30-3 SP22-2 -

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak. The 2014 vintage produced fruit with firm acidity, small berries, and soft tannins. On the nose, there’s black fruit, black berry, black current–screaming with ripeness. Full-bodied on the palate, with a rich mid-palate, fine tannins, and smooth finish, which, with the wine’s natural acidity, goes on and on and on. R30-1 -
Robert Mondavi 2013 Oakville BDX Red
$59.99Napa Valley California
A concentration of black cherry, vanilla and sweet spice form the backbone of this intensely dark-fruited, structured wine, with a subtle layer of earthy garrigue (fragrant dried brush of southern France) adding complexity to the full, creamy palate. Focused and harmonious, this is a powerful expression of Oakville in a Bordeaux blend. R29-2 -

Aromas of flower, tile and currant follow through to a full body that's nevertheless tight and reserved. Such beauty at the finish. A pretty wine. Hard not to drink now. SP21-2 -
Robert Mondavi 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 375ml
$16.99 – $101.94California
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
The base 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is certainly impressive, and since there are roughly 90,000 cases, it’s an incredible achievement. Classic darker currants, tobacco leaf, truffly earth, and spicy oak all define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. Based off 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, buy a case and enjoy bottles over the coming 10-15 years.
