Sine Qua Non 2022 Grenache Distenta IV
$299.99Central Coast California
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Moving to the reds from barrels, the 2022 Grenache Distenta IV is another ripe, opulent, sexy wine in the vintage that’s going to check in near the top of the scale. Black raspberries, ground pepper, herbes de Provence, and sandalwood are just some of its nuances, and it’s full-bodied, rich, concentrated, and velvety textured on the palate. It’s a stunner of a wine based on 78% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 7.3% Mourvedre, and the rest Petite Sirah and white varieties. R42-3

Sine Qua Non 2022 Syrah Distenta IV
$299.99Central Coast California
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Incorporating 6% Grenache, 5% Petite Sirah, 3% Mourvèdre, and 3% white varieties, the 2022 Syrah Distenta IV is another ripe, layered, full-bodied 2022 that’s going to deliver the goods. Ample blue fruits, kirsch liqueur, pepper, and tons of spicy notes all shine here, and this puppy has a layered, velvety mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, no hard edges, and awesome length. It’s going to shine right out of the gate and is a good counterpoint to the more focused, cooler styled 2021s. R38-6

Sinegal Estate 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon turned out beautifully. Rich, sumptuous and incredibly alluring, the 2018 will drink well right out of the gate. Dark red fruit, mocha, spice and licorice are some of the notes that build in the glass. I would give it a few years in bottle, or alternatively open it in advance. Aeration and the passage of time did wonders for the 2018. It spent 20 months in barrel, 85% new.

Sinegal Estate 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon
$79.99 – $468.00Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon comes mostly from estate fruit and checks in as 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% each of Malbec and Petit Verdot, and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc. There are around 10,000 cases, so you should be able to find bottles, and I suspect it's going to be a great value. Giving up lots of jammy blackberries, tobacco, sweet oak, and subtle cassis, it's medium to full-bodied, has a round, delicious style, and the balance and structure to evolve for 10-15 years.

Sojourn Cellars 2018 Gaps Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir
$79.99Sonoma Coast California
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
A gem of a wine, the 2018 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard comes from one of the great sites on the Sonoma Coast and saw a touch of stems (10%) and 50% new French oak. Tasting like a mix of a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir with its richness and depth and a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir with its elegance and finesse, this brilliant wine is loaded with wild strawberry and darker berry fruits intermixed with lots violets, spice, pine cone, and forest floor aromas and flavors. It packs plenty of richness and depth on the palate, has awesome tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and no shortage of length on the finish. Don't miss it! R7-3 -

Wine Advocate 93 Rating
Thee 2018 Mineral Springs Brut Rosé has 3.6 grams per liter dosage and was disgorged in May of 2022. Medium cherry-pink in color, it has delicate scents of watermelon, strawberry, fresh bread and wet stone. The light-bodied palate is dry and weighty with an intense core of fruit and a long, perfumed finish.

James Suckling 96 Rating
Extremely aromatic and perfumed with floral, strawberry and hibiscus-water character. Lavender, too. Full-bodied with toned tannins that are tight and focused. Polished and lightly austere, in a serious and polished way. Pulls you in with an energetic finish. Drinkable now, but even better in three or four years.

Southern Right 2021 Sauvignon Blanc
$14.99 – $78.00Walker Bay South Africa
Enjoyabilityfactor 91 Rating
Made in a way ensuring the personality of site and soil is not over-ridden by the forceful character of the variety, this wine exhibits the typical Southern Right balance of tight “Old World” minerality and length with hints of “New World” texture and body. The 2021 is a wine that favors origin expressive individuality, minerality and palate complexity ahead of pure, pungent varietal aroma. A significant percentage of fruit from iron and clay-rich soil has added a textural and structural component and additional overall complexity to this wine. The Sandstone soils have contributed their typical bright, tensile character and a marked minerality.
