Kathryn Hall 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$189.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, brought up mostly in new barrels. It’s a killer bottle of wine offering lots of ripe black fruits intermixed with savory herbs, melted chocolate, and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it shows the lush, round, velvety style of the 2019 vintage and is already impossible to resist. It’s going to evolve for 15+ years if well stored. R34-2 -

Kistler 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
$79.99California
Vinous 91 Rating
Kistler's 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is lifted and gracious, with expressive floral notes and bright red berry fruit. The purity of the flavors is quite remarkable. I thought, and frankly expected, the 2015 to retain a bit more of the exuberance it showed from barrel. Today, the Sonoma Coast Pinot has developed into a wine of finesse and understatement rather than raciness. Even so, it is very pretty. SP7-4 -

Kosta Browne 2015 Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir
$99.99Sonoma Coast California
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
From a site that was decimated with regards to yields, the 2015 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard comes from a very diverse site that has varying soil types and elevations. At the top, it's primarily iron, volcanic soils, with some clay, but as you move down the vineyard you find more chert (seabed soils) and clay/loam. Kosta Browne owns a full 36 acres of the site, with lots of varying clones, and this is one of the larger production cuvee. The 2015 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard is smoking good and just loaded with notions darker fruits, caramelized blackberries, smoked earth, and pepper. Big, rich and textured on the palate, with a smoking good texture, this is one of the larger scaled, richer wines in the lineup. (in rack) -
