Durfort-Vivens 2019 Les Plantes
$39.99Margaux Bordeaux France
Wine Enthusiast 97 Rating
Maturing in two-thirds barrels and one-third amphorae, this wine is already beautiful. Made from 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows a fine balance between dense tannins and elegant, ripe black fruit. The promise for this biodynamic wine is immense and certainly long-term. SP48-6 CF-2 -
Orin Swift 2022 Palermo Cabernet Sauvignon
$39.99 – $210.00Napa Valley California
A dark garnet core with a brooding cardinal rim, the-2022 Palermo-opens with notes of crunchy cassis, muddled boysenberry, ripe elderberry chapparal and cedar. The palate continues many of the aromatics with traces of cassis, blackberry, savory and thyme. Effuse with ripe dark fruits but also complex savory tones, the wine closes with long and soft tannin chains and hints of licorice, black pepper and star anise. regular $49.99

James Suckling 93 Rating
This is a full-bodied, dark-fruited red with hints of hazelnut, currant bush and moist earth. Tannins are fine and supple with seamless texture and a succulent finish. Attractive now, but better from 2025.

Niner Wine Estates 2020 Chardonnay Enda Valley
$39.99 – $180.00California
We hand-sorted and lightly pressed the whole clusters to avoid any unnecessary risk of smoke exposure. The juice went directly into barrel for fermentation, and was then aged in lightly toasted French oak barrels, 50% of which were new. After 11 months in barrel, we selected the best barrels to compose the final blend, and returned the blend to neutral oak barrels for four additional months. The extra four months in barrel evolved the secondary fruit flavors and added complexity to the final wine. With hints of lemon cream, jasmine and pie crust this wine is a wonderful balance of acid and creaminess.

Grand Napa Vineyards 2018 Master Red
$39.99 – $180.00Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
Loads of black cherries, currants, tobacco leaf, chocolate, and spring flower notes emerge from the 2018 Master Red. A medium to full-bodied, lightly textured blend with integrated tannins and a clean, classy finish, I’d be thrilled to drink bottles any time over the coming 10-15 years.

La Poussie 2023 Sancerre
$39.99 – $372.00Loire Valley France
A beautiful minerality brings a lovely character. The palate is round with a finesse offering the aromatic flavors of gingerbread, honey and peach. The finish is persistent and ends on a light and refreshing mineral note. The first notes are very fine, complex and delicate. The aromas of peaches, quince and white flowers follow. Light aeration reveals the delicate scents of exotic fruit. The minerality brings a beautiful equilibrium and harmony.

Chateau de Pez 2020 Le 2nd Vin Saint Estephe

This wine is dense, juicy with bold black fruits and ripe tannins. The concentration does not mask the forward nature of the bright black currant fruits. Drink from 2025.

Domaine Huet 2020 Vouvray Demi Sec Le Haut-Lieu
$39.99Loire Valley France
Wine Advocate 96 Rating
The 2020 Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Demi-Sec is clear, pure, subtle, deep and fresh, with highly refined chalky/sandy lemon aromas. Rich and intense yet silky textured and refined on the concentrated palate, this is a juicy, highly elegant, perfectly balanced, persistently salty and mouth-salivating Haut-Lieu with very fine tannins and a long, firm and pretty powerful but elegant and complex finish. Still more stringent than the Le Mont Demi-Sec in the beginning, but after aeration, this is not just a greatly finessed Chenin but one of the finest Haut-Lieu’s I have tasted from Huet. BX-9 R8-8 -
Aspirant de Beychevelle 2018 Saint-Julien
$39.99 – $210.00Bordeaux France
Let’s start with the territory. We are in Saint-Julien, a renowned wine region located in the Bordeaux region. Here, the production is mainly focused on red wines, especially from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Known for their elegance, structure and longevity. Saint-Julien extends over a relatively small territory. Despite this, it is home to some of the most prestigious wineries in the Bordeaux region. Here, the soils are rich in pebbles that ensure good drainage, creating the ideal conditions for growing vines. This is particularly the case of Beychevelle, whose vines are located on the magnificent gravel slopes that slope down to the Garonne and in the immediate vicinity of the Gironde. In addition, the presence of the two rivers guarantees a beneficial and regulating effect on the climate. 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc, this red Bordeaux fully respects the soul of its terroir of origin. Garnet red and compact, the nose reveals notes of black fruits, with notes of cedar and aromatic herbs. On the palate, on the other hand, it reveals a pleasantly full-bodied wine, with firm and well-integrated tannins. Juicy and flavorful, it has a well-balanced structure, with a savory finish. An excellent “second wine” of the Château, it is perfect to accompany meat-based lunches and dinners. Its value for money is also excellent.
