DAOU Vineyards 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
$39.99 – $210.00Paso Robles California
James Suckling 95 Rating
Fruit- and spice-driven, with aromas of blackberry compote, cigar box, cloves and violets. The palate is full-bodied with seamless tannins and integrated acidity, showing notes of blood plums, blueberries and graphite. Very fresh and balanced, with an underlying elegance that suggests it will age for years to come. Drink or hold.

Domaine de la Chapelle 2023 Pouilly-Fuisse Les Grands Climats
$39.99 – $210.00Burgundy France
Located in the heart of the appellation, in the hamlet of Pouilly, the Domaine de la Chapelle covers 7.42 hectares. The average age of the vines is about 60 years. This allows us to harvest highly concentrated grapes for better vintages. An advantageous microclimate (south, south-east exposure), combined with a marly clay-limestone soil, allows the Chardonnay grape variety to express itself fully. Very environmentally friendly cultivation method (ploughing of the soil, exclusively organic fertiliser, etc.). The harvest is entirely manual.

The 2020 LADY OF THE DEAD features a dark fruit core of bramble berries, Morello cherry, candied fruits, vanilla, cedar, allspice and tilled earth along with notes of leather. Wine Enthusiast 94 Rating
A blend of multiple sites, Kumeu’s “Estate” bottling, in some ways, marries the best of everything. It’s a fruity number, with bright peach, melon, nougat, ginger and white blossom aromas right from first sniff, underscored gently by more lactic, toasty ones. The palate strikes a lovely balance of vibrant, crisp acidity and creamy roundness.

The second wine of Château Lascombes, the 2022 Chevalier de Lascombes is beautifully textured and medium-bodied, offering bright cassis and darker, almost blue fruits, alongside spicy floral nuances. Orin Swift 2023 Advice from John Merlot
$39.99 – $210.00California
Dominating aromatics abound without effort—notes of blackberry pie, black plum, sage and lilac come from the glass. A flooding sensation on entry drives dark fruits onto the mid-palate with touches of savory, fennel and licorice as complements. Long on the finish, the espresso bean and continued concentration of blackberry throughout fades slowly with gentle and soft tannins.
