  • Matthews Winery 2020 Blackboard Cabernet Sauvignon

    $19.99$96.00

    Columbia Valley Washington State
    International Wine Report 90 Rating
Medium purple in color, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon by Blackboard has aromas of slight oak and red licorice. On the palate, dusty chocolate, black cherry, blueberry compote, and slight vanilla bean are all present. This wine has a pleasurable mouthfeel, with minimal tannins, and is well structured. This is an easy drinking, a fruit-forward, and gratifying effort that should be enjoyed over the next five years. As with all Blackboard offerings, it is a great value and a wine you can stock up on without breaking the bank.

    $34.99

    Dry Creek Valley California
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
    Editors' Choice Award

The producer's only non-estate wine, this hails from some tremendous grower sites, including Faloni, Buchignani and Montecillo. It excels in thick tannins and black pepper, leather and black currant. It offers plenty of structure and intensity, with balanced ripeness and a lasting taste of sweet oak. SP14-6

  • Mauritson 2019 Rockpile Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

    $69.99

    Sonoma County California
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
Blended with 13% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot and displaying a deep ruby-purple color, the 2019 Rockpile Cabernet Sauvignon Rockpile Ridge Vineyard has broody tar and blackcurrants on the nose to begin, unfolding as it airs in the glass to wafts of lavender and menthol. The full-bodied palate is powerful and grainy, with bright acidity to balance its concentrated fruits, and it finishes long and spicy. R39-3

Made from 100% Wente Clone Chardonnay, this barrel sample of the 2019 Chardonnay UV Vineyard is set to be aged for 15 months in French oak and concrete egg. • Mayacamas 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder

    $139.99$750.00

    Napa Valley California
    Antonio Galloni Vinous 98 Rating
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon was just bottled this past summer. It is of course a very young wine but possesses tremendous aromatic nuance and freshness to play off a core of huge dark fruit. Readers will have to be patient with the 2018 as it is an imposing vertical Cabernet that needs years to be at its best. Bright floral and spice notes lift the soaring finish as the wine's inner sweetness gradually emerges over time. The 2018 is super-impressive. That's all there is to it. ?

Blended with a small 5% Cabernet Franc, this mountain red from the historic estate opens with inviting notes of mocha, cassis and sage. Seamless and supple, with lengthy additional fruit notes of blueberry and savory mushroom, it offers brilliant acidity and structure to last for decades. Enjoy best from 2029–2039. SP17-1
