  • Bertani 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG

    $129.99$720.00

    Veneto Italy
    James Suckling 98 Rating
Wow. Such a complex nose, with a base of dried cherry, spruced up with hints of mild coffee and walnuts. Then there are dried flowers, wild herbs and spices, such as tarragon and cloves. Subtle hints of dried banana and apricot, too. The palate is full, super sleek, intense and well-balanced, with tight, spice-coated tannins that drive everything forward. Long, long finish. Lovely to taste now, but this already almost ten-year-old will sit comfortably in your cellar for a long while yet.

  • Bertani 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG

    $149.99

    Veneto Italy
    James Suckling 100 Rating
A vivid ruby color with a garnet tinge and super-restrained nose of licorice, oak bark, smoke, wood, cigar box, leather, dark chocolate, crushed violets and prunes. Freshness and subtlety. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate due to ripe, filigree tannins with long acidity and a toasty, savory aftertaste. One of the great Amarones. Corvina and Rondinella. Ready to drink now but intended for the long haul. SPBX-6 SP39-4

  • Bethel Heights Vineyards 2021 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard

    $79.99$450.00

    Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley Oregon
    Wine Advocate 98+ Rating
The 2021 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard comes from a single block of 667 clone vines and is one of the most impressive Pinot expressions I've encountered from the 2021 vintage in the Willamette Valley so far. Medium ruby-purple, it has intense, singular and pure aromatics: cranberry, rhubarb and blueberry are accented by fine touches of conifer, aniseed, iron and pipe tobacco, and it continues to shift and change as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is powerful, offering highly concentrated, detailed fruit and a support of abundant, powdery tannins. It has seamless, energetic acidity and haunting streaks of spice and earth that fan across the tremendously long finish. It's difficult to put this wine down, although it will reward drinkers patient enough to tuck it away in the cellar. R14-4 BX-6

  • Betz Family Winery 2019 The Untold Story Columbia Valley

    $24.99

    Washington State
The Untold Story is deeply colored, with a dark purple core fading out to a bright magenta rim. The color is reflective of the aromatics: smoky black fruits, blueberries, blackberries, dark plums and cassis swirl about, adding incense and graphite alongside crushed herbs as it gets air. The palate is layered with a plush texture that perfectly balances fresh acidity and fine tannins leading to a lengthy finish that carries a delightful mix of bright rosemary, fresh berries and cracked spice. Most stores $39.99 R36-6

Light-bodied in terms of alcohol but with a rounded, hefty mouthfeel, this offers subtle yet complex flavors and a lingering finish. Aromas of hay and green apples and low-key flavors like golden apples, with a hint of grapefruit, minerals and lime zest. Made from clairette and grenache blanc. Drink or hold.

  • Bieler Pere et Fils 2024 Rose Sabine Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence

    $13.99$132.00

    Vin de Provence France
The classic Provence Rosé profile is what every serious winemaker around the world attempts to mimic and for good reason. The goal is to find the delicate balance between floral, herbal, wild red fruit (not overly ripe), stone fruit and acid. Aromas and flavors lead by ripe White peach, Wild raspberry, chamomile tea, rosemary accompanied by a bead of minerality. A somewhat silkier fuller mid palate than previous vintage with zing of acidity at the finish to balance and encourage the next sip. It’s Pop ’N for sure! The winery doesn’t want singular big flavors, we want more nuance, energy, soul and personality.

The NV Brut Reserve is a tasty, non-vintage Champagne. Orchard fruit, lime, white flowers and white pepper. Silky, creamy and exceptionally polished, the Brut Reserve is a total charmer.
