  • Casa Lapostolle 2019 Clos Apalta

    $119.99

    Apalta Chile
    James Suckling 99 Rating
A generous array of ripe black and blue fruit with pink peppercorns, green olives, dried flowers, toffee and chocolate orange. It’s full-bodied with firm, creamy and velvety tannins. Long and polished. Lovely salted caramel and olives at the end. Keeps going. Unfolds on the finish. 70% carmenere, 18% merlot, 8% cabernet sauvignon and 4% petit verdot. Drink or hold. R20-4

  • Domaine Lucien Boillot 2019 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux

    $119.99

    Cote de Nuits Burgundy France
    Jasper Morris 92 Rating
Mid purple with a sterner bouquet. The Corbeaux displays a delicious sweetness of fruit on the palate before a firmer structure behind medium to long finish. Not immediately seductive but with plenty of promise for the longer term especially as the wine stays fresh at the back. SP3-1

  • E. Guigal 2020 Condrieu La Doriane

    $119.99$660.00

    Northern Rhone Valley France
    Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
Just about pure perfection and one of the finest Condrieu to pass my lips, the 2020 Condrieu La Doriane offers an insane bouquet of grilled pineapple, charcoal, crushed stone, acacia flowers, and white peach. It picks up an incredibly sense of salinity on the palate and is full-bodied, has blockbuster concentration, remarkable purity and focus, and a great finish. I like this beast/beauty today, but it will keep for a decade. SPB10-6

  • Grattamacco 2019 Bolgheri Superiore

    $119.99

    Tuscany Italy
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Reserved layers and depth slowly begin to emerge from the 2019 Grattamacco, so it is going to need time in cellar to open and show itself. As it opens in the glass, it reveals attractive dark mineral earth, kirsch, black pepper spice, and balsamic. It is concentrated and compact at this stage, with savory richness, and it displays full and balanced structure, ripe and present tannins, and notes of cassis, cedar, and pine resin. It reveals rich complexity without ever feeling murky, and its energetic tension takes this wine to the next level. Drink 2025-2050. R23-7 SPBX-6

  • Paolo Scavino 2019 “Bric dël Fiasc” Barolo

    Piedmont Italy
    Kerin O’Keefe 100 Rating
The compelling 2019 Barolo Bric dël Fiasc from Paolo Scavino is drop-dead gorgeous. Opening with heady scents of Alpine herb, iris, dark spice and perfumed berry, it showcases the magnificent site, the fantastic vintage and the generational experience of the Scavino family. Stunningly delicious and radiant, it delivers ripe red cherry, raspberry compote, blood orange and licorice set against firm, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Notes of tobacco and almond linger on the finish.

  • Chateau Beychevelle 2020 Grand Vin Saint-Julien

    $119.99

    Bordeaux
    Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
The Grand Vin 2020 Chateau Beychevelle is a tiny selection representing just 55% of the total production of the estate. The blend is 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot which spent 18 months in 70% new French oak, hitting 13.5% natural alcohol. Surpassing both the 2016 and 2018, this inky-hued Saint-Julien offers a round, lush, full-bodied style as well as gorgeous aromatics of black cherries, blueberries, loamy earth, chocolate, and spring flowers. The vintage doesn’t get any sexier, and this has sweet tannins, an opulent mouthfeel, and riveting purity and finesse. While it already offers pleasure, it’s going to benefit from 4-6 years of bottle age and keep for 25+. Best After 2027. SP48-6 SPBX-6

  • La Jota 2019 Cabernet Franc Howell Mountain

Also beautiful, the 2019 Cabernet Franc checks in as 100% varietal that was raised in 67% new French oak. Inky purple in color, with a brilliant perfume of raspberries, cassis, spring flowers, scorched earth, and graphite, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a terrific sense of elegance and purity, ripe yet present tannins, and a great finish. It’s going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age and shine for two decades.
