  • ColleMassari 2017 Montecucco Rosso Riserva

    $24.99

    Tuscany Italy
    Antonio Galloni 93 Rating
Dark and seductive, the 2017 Rosso Riserva Montecucco lulls you in with a bouquet that blends dusty black cherries and red currants with sweet mint leaf and hints of clove. There are depths of soft, fleshy textures within, balanced by brisk acids, masses of tart blackberry fruit and balsam herbal tones. This reverberates with youthful tension, leaving a saturation of primary concentration upon the palate, framed by a coating of grippy tannins. While you can sense the warmth and dry conditions of the vintage here, the 2017 overdelivers, coming across as more immediate than expected, yet balanced enough to excel through short-term cellaring. The Rosso Riserva is a blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Ciliegiolo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon refined for sixteen months in a combination of forty-hectoliter casks and five-hundred-liter tonneaux. R17-3

    Bordeaux France
    Wine Advocate 93 Rating
The 2016 Du Courlat has a rich, slightly jammy bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit. The palate is well balanced with juicy tannins, rich but nicely controlled with a very poised and tensile finish. Now this is a lovely Lussac Saint Emilion in the making. One to watch out for. SP59-5

  • Zorzal Wines 2016 Eggo Tinto de Tiza

    $19.99

    Tupungato Mendoza Argentina
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The incredible 2016 Eggo Tinto de Tiza was cropped from one of the coolest years in recent times, which provided a slow ripening of the grapes and resulted in wines with higher natural acidity. This wine is now exclusively Malbec from Gualtallary. It fermented with 10% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in egg-shaped concrete vats, where the wine matured for ten months. It’s super aromatic, with notes of thyme, oregano, spices and something earthy, like the countryside after the rain. It’s young and has an explosive, vibrant palate with electric acidity and chalky tannins. 2016 could very well be the finest vintage to date, one of those vintages that will be legendary. This is just unbelievable for the price.

  • Churchill’s 2016 Late Bottled Vintage Port

    $19.99

    Portugal
Like all other Churchill’s Ports, the component wines of this Vintage Port have been treaded by foot in traditional granite lagares (treading tanks). Following the vintage the young LBV Ports are carefully tasted, selected and blended. The blended Port is then matured in large oak vats during 4 years where it softens, shedding its harsh tannins, but without losing its full bodied, rich fruit flavors. Finally, after 4 years in wood vats it is bottled unfiltered into dark Vintage Port bottles and laid down to finish its maturation in our temperature conditioned cellars.

Bright cherry, kirsch, raspberry and floral aromas and flavors are the hallmarks of this rich, vibrant and harmonious Dolcetto, which has plenty of structure, building to a long, complex aftertaste of fruit and mineral.
