Torbreck 2020 Runrig Shiraz – Viognier
$179.99 – $900.00Barossa Valley Australia
Wine Enthusiast 96 Rating
Rich, evocative aromas of mulberry, blueberry, coffee bean and hot-cocoa mix lend approachability to what is otherwise a rich, dense wine, packed with flavor, but also with powerful, chalk dust tannins that need serious protein if opening now. Patience will be rewarded, however. Give this a few more years in bottle.

Orin Swift 2022 Mercury Head Cabernet Sauvignon
$159.99 – $900.00Napa Valley California
The 2022 Mercury Head Cabernet Sauvignon greets the eye with an opaque garnet core and subtle purple highlights. On the nose, this wine bursts with blue fruits, blackcurrant, licorice, and nuances of baking spices, lavender, and crushed gravel. The palate is rich and complex, offering layered notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, espresso, and a concentrated blueberry reduction. Balanced by chalky tannins, the wine finishes long and smooth with lingering touches of Herbs de Provence. R44-4 BX-6

Hundred Acre Fortunate Son 2021 The Dreamer
$159.99 – $900.00Napa Valley California
Decanter Magazine 97 Rating
100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 30–32 months in ultra-tight grain French oak barriques. The wine displays a shimmering, lucid ruby color. Gorgeous, dusty, dark berry fruit unfolds with an incredible panoply of mulled Christmas spices and warm berry pie compote. Full-bodied and texturally defined, framed by a core of ultra-fine tannins with added dark berry fruit depth. It is a meal unto itself but better paired with roasted meats drizzled in rich plum sauce and accompanied by prosciutto-wrapped figs. R20-2 SP19-2 regular $199.99

E. Guigal Chateau D’Ampuis 2019 Cote-Rotie
$179.99 – $900.00Northern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
The 2019 Côte Rôtie Chateau D’Ampuis is another beautiful, layered, incredibly impressive wine. Ripe darker fruits, smoked meats, tapenade, and ground pepper all define the bouquet, and it’s full-bodied, with a wealth of baby fat, lots of tannins, and a great, great finish. It’s certainly in line with past vintages and perhaps shows a touch more tannic structure than the 2018.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota Vineyard explodes with violets, aniseed and cast iron, with a deep core of crushed blueberries and black cherries, evolving continually with each approach to the glass. The palate is stunning with its intensity and lift, pure fruits, pixelated tannins and focused acidity that drives the very long finish. Its exceptional balance and super pure flavors, plus that characteristic streak of iron that appears across the Anakota portfolio, really take the 2019 Helena Dakota to the next level. 793 cases were made. Robert Foley Vineyards 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon
$89.99 – $900.00Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
Beautiful cassis, graphite, dark chocolate, and floral hints emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is medium to full-bodied and has great tannins as well as a balanced, classical style. A terrific 2017 that shines on all accounts, it should keep for 10-15 years.

La Jota 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain
$169.99 – $900.00Napa Valley California
Vinous 96 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is another superb wine from La Jota. Rich and explosive, the 2019 possesses tremendous density and plenty of mountain power. A rush of black cherry, blackberry, licorice, spice and menthol builds into the huge finish. This is a fabulous vintage for the La Jota Cabernet.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2020 Pauillac
$899.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
Looking at the Grand Vin, the 2020 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild is a sensational effort checking in as 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot that hit 12.8% natural alcohol and a pH of 3.94. As Lafite as Lafite gets, this ultra-classic reveals a dense ruby/plum hue as well as a tight, yet layered bouquet of ripe blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, freshly sharpened pencils, graphite, and subtle spice. Flawlessly balanced, deep, concentrated, and layered, it has an incredible mid-palate, building, perfect tannins, and a finish that leaves you salivating. Refined, elegant, and perfection are the buzz words here. Unfortunately, it’s not for the instant gratification crowd, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this require 15 years to hit the early stages of its prime drinking window. It will probably hit its 100th birthday in fine form. Best After 2038. R42-3 -

Vilmart & Cie 2013 Brut Emotion Rose

Sleek and lightly chalky in texture, this vinous version shows a well-spiced range of wild strawberry, macerated cherry and orange liqueur flavors, with accents of graphite, violet and fennel seed. Long and mouthwatering, with the plushy creamy finish carrying the expressive profile. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged April 2020. Drink now through 2033.
