  • Cristom 2017 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard

Cristom 2017 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard

    $69.99

    Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley
    James Suckling 97 Rating
A very distinctive nose with a wild array of red berries and cherries and a thread of blue fruit, too. There’s a dried wild-rose perfume and a violet-like thread with subtle, herbal-based notes. It’s a moving target in the glass with incredible complexity. This has a gift of revelation. The palate has a very assertive edge with a powerful core of intense tannins that carry a spicy thread of rich dark cherries and dark plums in a defined, savory and athletic stance. A star of the vintage. Drink over the next decade or more. R25-2

  • Cristom 2018 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard

Cristom 2018 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard

    $79.99

    Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley
    James Suckling 99 Rating
This dramatically steep site delivers a wine of real personality and distinctiveness. The nose has a very layered mix of red cherries and berries with some plums, leaves, dry stones, forest wood and a wealth of sweetly fragrant spices. The palate holds such intensity and concentrated flavor with striking focus and drive. Mouthwateringly fresh red-cherry flavors are delivered in essence-like mode and hold long, on a super vibrant, explosive finish. The star of 2018 at Cristom and indeed for Willamette Valley pinot per se. Drink or hold. R27-3

  • Cristom Vineyards 2022 Chardonnay

    Cristom Vineyards 2022 Chardonnay

    Eola-Amity Hills Oregon
    Decanter Magazine 97 Rating
Only half an acre (.2ha) of Chardonnay in the Louise Vineyard at Cristom, clone 95 was planted in 1995, and Cristom winemaker Daniel Estrin is grateful for all that he gets. He spends a lot of time walking these blocks. Daniel likes the phenolics in this Chardonnay, and this wine shows that, a nervousness and edge that is framed by a finely etched saline minerality. Bright, spicy, fresh and minerality. He calls it a coyness and believes this wine will get better in 10 years. Aromatics of grilled citrus, lime blossoms and candied ginger liveliness. The palate dances beautifully between that fine edge and a depth of creamy citrus fruit. Brilliance, savoury and saline it’s a thing of beauty.

The 2023 Viognier Louise Vineyard is fresh and fruity, with clean notes of ripe pears, peaches, fresh flowers, orange sherbet, and wet stones. Medium-bodied, it has a fruit-forward personality balanced by refreshing acidity, lovely length, and fantastic poise. Earth-laced fruit aromas of blackberry bramble, dark cherry, and huckleberry seamlessly intertwine with savory hints of curry leaves and lobster mushrooms, accented by subtle notes of dried orange peel and baking spices.
