Catena 2019 San Carlos Cabernet Franc
$24.99 – $240.00Mendoza Argentina
Wine Advocate 92 Rating
The incredible 2019 Appellation San Carlos Cabernet Franc is super elegant, fresh, varietal, nuanced and complex. A wine like this often costs more money than the price point of the appellation range, but it feels like a bargain anyway. This is an updated version of the 2018, with precision and symmetry. It's vibrant and lively, velvety and focused.

The NV Brut Majeur comes from an estate just beside Bollinger and is a 40/40 split of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with the balance Pinot Meunier. Aged 30 months on lees with 7 grams of dosage, it has a crisp, focused, even chiseled style to go with lovely notes of citrus, lemon curd, and white flowers. Drink this vibrant beauty over the coming 5-6 years.

Elk Cove Vineyards 2021 Pinot Noir Clay Court
$49.99 – $240.00Chehalem Mountains Willamette Valley Oregon
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
Deep ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Clay Court is layered with floral and spice notes as well as black raspberry liqueur, anise, mossy earth, and cracked pepper. Medium to full-bodied, with an elegant mouthfeel and a beautiful texture, it offers fine tannins and a silky, clean, rounded palate of fruit. Long on the palate and very well-balanced, it’s hard to resist now, but I imagine this will improve over the next 6-8 years.

Marciano 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
$239.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 98+ Rating
Bottled in September of this year, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate checks in as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc brought up in French oak. Its inky purple color is followed by classic notes of blackcurrants, lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, and hints of crushed rock. Deep, seamless, ultra-pure, and incredibly classic on the palate, it's another brilliant, classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Morgan Maureze. It’s slightly more reserved than the 2015 (which is to be expected as the vintages are dramatically different) and is going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age. R26-2 -

Jim Barry 2012 The Armagh Shiraz
$239.99South Australia
Wine Advocate 98+ Rating
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Shiraz The Armagh offers a gorgeous perfume of baking spices, violets, Sichuan pepper and fragrant earth. More earthy and savory in the mouth than on the nose, the palate is superbly structured and taut—built for the long-haul—with a long, complex finish. Still very youthfully, forget this wine for 3-5 more years and consider drinking it over the next 20+. R45-1
