Mcprice Myers 2021 Grenache L’ange Rouge
$59.99 – $600.00Paso Robles California
Vinous 94 Rating
The 2021 L’Ange Rouge is dreamy with a spicy blend of ripe blueberries complemented by sweet smoke and chalk dust. This is soothingly round and supple with tart raspberry and liquid inner florals complemented by stony minerality. The 2021 cleans up beautifully, with tart blackberry and black cherry mingling as residual acids. Gentle tannins underscore licorice hints. Castiglion del Bosco 2018 Brunello di Montalcino
$59.99 – $600.00Tuscany Italy
Wine Advocate 92 Rating
Robust and powerful from the start, the Castiglion del Bosco 2018 Brunello di Montalcino shows broad shoulders and ample brawn. But at the end of the day, the wine's concentration remains on the medium to medium-rich side of the spectrum. It stays firmly within the boundaries of Sangiovese. Dark fruit and blackcurrant segue to savory notes of toasted spice, black olive, earth and rusty nail.

A hedonistically, opulent expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville. Juicy ripe blackberries, black currants, crushed granite and honeyed black raspberries sing from the glass. Notes of black cardamom, freshly picked violets, graphite and chaparral complete the aromatic landscape of this wine. Savory, balanced and amazingly concentrated; this wine possesses explosive flavors of black and purple fruits pinned together with incredible minerality. Enjoy over the next 20 years or more. R42-3

Chateau Maucoil 2018 Chateauneuf Du Pape Privilege
$59.99 – $600.00Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
The 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Privilege was also all destemmed and checks in as 50% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 12% Mourvèdre, and the balance Cinsault, Bourboulenc, Clairette, and other permitted varieties. Brought up in 30% new barrels, its similarly deep ruby/purple color is followed by classic notes of smoked black fruits, ground pepper, garrigue, violets, and rocky minerality. Despite the new oak, it has a relatively classic style, both in its aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, it offers solid mid-palate depth, building tannins, and a great finish. This is another terrific, outstanding wine from this estate that’s going to have a long life. It can be drunk today with plenty of pleasure or cellared for 10-12+ years or more.
