Chateau La Gaffeliere 2015 Grand Cru Classe Saint-Emilion
$149.99Bordeaux
Vinous 97 Rating
The 2015 La Gaffelière is a wine of total finesse. Much less obvious and overt than most Saint-Émilions in this vintage, La Gaffelière makes its case on harmony and grace above all else. Bright, lifted Cabernet Franc-infused aromatics give the 2015 striking freshness and aromatic presence. The flavors are bright and nuanced to the core, with plenty of red cherry, espresso and floral notes. But back to the basics. In 2015 La Gaffelière is a wine that stands out because of its impeccable balance and sense of proportion. I loved it. Tasted two times. R29-1

Blackberries with some dried fruit and hints of sultanas. Slightly lifted. It’s medium-bodied with lovely sweetness and a lightly chewy and grippy ending that turns sweet and slightly dry at the end. Delicious Port.

Domaine Louis Moreau 2018 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru
$99.99Due in Mid-December
Burgundy France
Wine Spectator 97 Rating
Notes of crushed limestone and sea salt lend freshness to powerfully ripe yellow apple, pineapple and pear flavors in this wine. Matured entirely in stainless steel, it's a classic Chablis focused squarely on the sun-drenched richness and invigorating mineral sheen of the Grand Cru Les Clos vineyard. -
Domaine Raymond Usseglio & Fils 2019 Chateauneuf Du Pape Les Apotres
$119.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
A relatively new cuvée that encompasses all the permitted varieties of the appellation and is brought up in amphora, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Apotres offers a beautiful perfume of black raspberry and blackberry fruits interwoven with loads of spring flowers, white truffle, spice, and sappy garrigue aromas and flavors. This beauty is seamless, medium to full-bodied, and my money is on it being the finest vintage for this cuvée to date. BX-6 -
Sine Qua Non 2017 Syrah Eleven Confessions Vineyard
$499.99California
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
The 2017 Syrah Eleven Confessions Vineyard is the wine of the vintage, and Syrah simply doesn’t get any better. Even in these more difficult vintages, I’m always amazed at what this estate is able to achieve. Dense purple-hued, with an incredible bouquet of sandalwood, dried flowers, incense, saddle leather, and assorted red and blue fruits, it hits the palate with flawless balance, a deep, full-bodied, concentrated mouthfeel, and a heavenly finish. It shows a more up-front, exuberant, sexy style, yet there’s still ample underlying structure and depth. Reminding me of Guigal’s Côte Rôtie La Mouline (maybe amped up just slightly), drink it over the coming 15-20 years. It’s worth pointing out that due to the difficulty in trademarking names today, the longer aged, 100% Eleven Confessions Vineyard Syrah and Grenache will simply bear the name “Eleven Confessions Vineyard” going forward. Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou 2018 Saint-Julien
$299.99Bordeaux France
Wine Enthusiast 100 Rating
Vintage 2018 was generous to the style of Ducru-Beaucaillou. The rich character of wines from this estate is enhanced by the ripeness and concentration of this wine. At the same time it keeps an amazing freshness that comes out of the acidity. This wine will go down in the annals of this historic estate. It is not likely to approach drinkability before 2028. Chateau Lynch-Bages 2020 Pauillac
$164.99Bordeaux France
James Suckling 99 Rating
beautifully layered red with blackcurrant, hazelnut and lead-pencil character and fine, velvety tannins. Full-bodied and reserved. It’s like a tightly knit ball of polished tannins that are cashmere in texture. So very long and impressive. Give this time. A terrific Lynch. Better after 2027. SP56-2 SPBX-12 -
Domaine Bachey-Legros 2018 Sous La Roche Blanc
$49.99 – $270.00Santenay, France
Enjoyabilityfactor 92 Rating
Swirling around in the glass we get beautiful hints of peaches, pears and praline aromas. The palate is quite full with flavors of peaches, ginger, honeysuckle and Puligny-like overtones. It's certainly worth the price.
