Raen 2021 Royal St. Robert Cuvee Pinot Noir
$79.99Sonoma Coast California
James Suckling 98 Rating
Extremely spicy with iron, forest flower, black tea, and dried strawberry aromas, following through to a medium to full body, with lovely velvety tannins that are integrated and refined, with a long and flavorful finish. Yet it always remains refined and poised in an exemplary way. -

Peirre Prieur & Fils 2023 Domaine Saint-Pierre Sancerre
$29.99 – $144.00Loire Valley
Enjoyabilityfactor 90 Rating
The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color. The nose offers freshness, airiness, the acidity of fresh citrus fruits and fresh herbs, as well as a racy minerality. It expresses notes of limestone and dry stone, with a very light touch of flint smoke in the background, chiseled aromas of green apple, lime zest, yellow lemon, grapefruit, as well as a floral hint of linden and a delicate note of gooseberries in the background. The attack on the palate is mineral, limestone, slightly smoky. It also expresses the acidity and a slight bitterness of lime, yellow lemon, grapefruit, a herbaceous and floral hint of linden in the background. We feel the roundness in the white peach flavor in the mid-palate. The finish is quite persistent, chiseled, with a lively and salivating acidity. A typical wine, which expresses the terroir.

Terlato Family Vineyards 2023 Pinot Grigio
$18.99 – $96.00Colli Orientali del Friuli Italy
Vinous 90 Rating
The 2023 Pinot Grigio is a total pleasure on the nose, blending crushed almonds with white flowers, wet stone and freshly sliced nectarines. It’s soft and round with a stimulating core of acidity to balance. A sour lime tinge nicely offsets ripe orchard fruits. The 2023 leaves a mineral note lingering, finishing crisp, refreshing and with medium length. regular $24.99

Alban Vineyards 2019 Syrah Reva Alban Estate
$109.99Edna Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Moving to the Syrahs, the 2019 Syrah Reva reveals a much cooler climate-like style in its blackberry, graphite, pepper, and bouquet garni-like nuances, and it picks up an almost Cornas-like game and white pepper character with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, ripe yet polished tannins, and a great finish. It reminds me slightly of the 2018, although with slightly less concentration. It will evolve for 20-25 years. SP14-5 -
Alban Vineyards 2021 Syrah Patrina Alban Estate

Plump and polished, with sleekly layered black raspberry flavors that are accented by dark chocolate, savory meat and cracked pepper tones that sail on the long and savory finish. Drink now through 2033. SP17-4 -
Alban Vineyards 2019 Syrah Lorraine Alban Estate Vineyard
$199.99Edna Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
The 2019 Syrah Lorraine is ultra-classic and is about as textbook an example of this cuvée as I can recall. Black raspberries, cassis, spring flowers, and baking spices all flow to a full-bodied, round, velvety textured, utterly seamless Syrah with ripe tannins, a great mid-palate, and a gorgeous finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. It’s impossible to resist today (and I see no need to delay gratification), yet it will continue to deliver the goods any time over the coming 20-25 years. SP15-6 -
