    O’Shaughnessy 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon

    Price range: $74.99 through $490.00

    Napa Valley California
    Antonio Galloni 91 Rating
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is packed with succulent dark cherry/plum fruit, spice, new leather and chocolate. This juicy Cabernet Sauvignon will drink well pretty much right out of the gate. There is a bit of firmness in the tannin, but that’s a small quibble for a wine that offers so much enjoyment.

  • Occhipinti 2021 Siccagno Nero d'Avola

    Occhipinti 2021 Siccagno Nero d’Avola

    $39.99

    Sicily Italy
    Vinous 93 Rating
While understated and delicate in the glass, the 2021 Nero d’Avola Siccagno is impossible to ignore. Crushed blackberries, tangerine, lavender, chalk dust and sweet spice form its dazzling bouquet. It’s round, soft-textured, quite juicy in character and has depths of tart wild berry fruit. Sour citrus adds contrast and tension throughout. The 2021 finishes with staining length, leaving a lingering web of fine tannins and salted licorice. Just a baby today, I expect the 2021 to flesh out beautifully with a few years of cellaring. R39-6

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeous with classic Stags leap purity and finesse in its cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as chalky minerality, flowers, and spicy, graphite-like notes. Full-bodied, concentrated, and pure on the palate, it has fine tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish. It’s concentrated, but this is more about finesse and elegance. BX-6

Flint and spice come through clearly, showing a higher level of reduction in the winemaking and providing intensity and intrigue to the wine. It’s medium-bodied, linear and very racy with a bright, lightly phenolic finish. Drink or hold.
