This incredible Value in the world of Brut Champagne. Very fresh with citrus, pear and floral notes. It segways nicely into a delicious toasty and yeasty character that I like. This is truely a bargain to have around to enjoy now and over the upcoming holidays throughout the year.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon rocks up with gregarious black cherries, blackcurrants and warm plums with hints of menthol, chocolate box and fragrant earth. Big, rich and full-bodied, with loads of minted black berry and earthy layers, it has a firm, grainy frame and fantastic length. WBC

This shows florals and dried red cherries but there’s also lots of blueberry, spice box and eucalyptus character as well as ash and tar. Medium body, fresh acidity, fine tannins and a minerally finish. WBC

Another project between Eric Solomon and the Roussillon’s Jean-Marc Lafage, the 2016 Evodia comes from higher elevation vineyards and is mostly Garnacha (there’s 5% Syrah) aged in a mix of tank and demi-muids. This deep ruby/purple colored is a gorgeous, naked expression of Grenache that just knocks it out of the park. Blackberries, blueberries, pepper, licorice and hints of asphalt all emerge from this plump, sexy, opulent, and shockingly concentrated wine that has incredible charm and character. It’s the best 10-dollar bottle of wine I've tasted in years. WBC

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota (445 cases) is absolutely magnificent. Opaque black/purple in color, it comes across like a Château Montrose from a great vintage – a very earthy St.-Estèphe-inspired wine with the essence of loamy soil and crushed rocks interwoven with blackberry and cassis fruit. Some oak makes an appearance, but it is pushed to the background by the extravagance and enormous body and extract of this wine of phenomenal intensity. This is a classic Pierre Seillan style of wine meant for 25-40 years of cellaring. R4-5
