Les Vins de Vienne 2018 Condrieu La Chambée
$59.99Northern Rhone Valley France
For fans of the Viognier grapes, no appellation is better in my opinion than Condrieu. When allowed to express itself and not over burdened with oak, this is a gorgeous yet delicate wine. Light golden in color. The nose is so pretty with white flowers, quince and peach. On the palate, this dances across the tongue. It is delicious with the quince and peach coming thru along with underlying minerality. While this should drink well for another five years, this is a wine that rewards drinking young. R45-1 -

Leviathan 2022 Red Blend
$29.99 – $300.00California
Wine Advocate 92 Rating
Surprisingly, the 2022 Leviathan Red Wine may outshine the 2021 vintage. A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petite Sirah, 6% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Syrah and 2% Petit Verdot, it’s loaded with black cherries and cassis. Still not overly complex, it’s a big, full-bodied and crowd-pleasing red wine that proves you don’t need to have residual sugar or use Mega Purple to fill this niche. Velvety textured, fruit forward and long on the finish, it’s a fun, easy-drinking wine at a regular-person price.

Lewis’s 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark hued and seemingly impenetrable to light. Black cherries and plums mark the nose of this full-bodied wine. It’s rich, thick, even almost a touch oily, supple and super ripe yet not raisined and tinged with mocha and dark chocolate on the lingering, velvety finish. It’s a statement-making style that some will likely detest, while others will adore.
