Notes of smoke and spice mingle into honeysuckle and lychee in this perfumed, fruity white. The palate is opulent and creamy, packed with white peach, lychee and apricot flavors. It is freshened by a lingering mineral crush and hints of fresh herb and leaf. Enjoy this complex, hedonistic wine now through 2030. R38-3

Picture a sun-dappled vineyard on a breezy hillside, where cool Pacific air meets the bright fruit of the Eola–Amity Hills. That sets the stage for our 2024 Roserock Chardonnay. Aromas of pear, citrus blossom, and white peach open to notes of honeyed nectarine, crushed seashell, and a hint of cream. Bright ruby in color, this is a restrained Barolo with wild strawberry, Parma violet, cinnamon and orange peel aromas. The palate is crisp, with dusty tannins, a medium body, good concentration of blood orange flavors, a tight-knit structure and a polished finish. Approachable now due to the balance but will improve with time. Drink after 2029.

The 2017 Pommard is a charmer, revealing a medium ruby hue as well as plenty of sweet red currant fruits, forest floor, spice, and sappy herb aromatics. It shows the sunny, sexy style of the vintage, has beautiful fruit, a light, elegant, balanced texture, and outstanding length. It blossoms with an hour of air and is ideal for drinking over the coming 10-15 years. SP2-8 R30-1

Impressive aromas of fresh herbs from the Tuscan coast, such as sage, mint, rosemary and thyme. Blackcurrants, too. Full-bodied with fine, chewy tannins that show beautiful length and consistency. Racy and beautiful, with lots of subtle and refined character. Slightly more cabernet sauvignon this year, which adds class to the wine. 80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot and 10% petit verdot. Give this about three or four years of bottle age. Try after 2027. • Hartford Court 2022 Land's Edge Pinot Noir

Hartford Court 2022 Land’s Edge Pinot Noir

    Price range: $39.99 through $210.00

    Sonoma Coast California
    Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
From the far Sonoma Coast, the 2022 Pinot Noir Land’s Edge Vineyards was aged for 9 months in 32% new French oak barrels. In the glass, it displays a medium ruby color and offers expressive notes of red berries, cranberries, and juniper. There’s a good bit of reduction initially that benefits from a little air at this stage, but it starts to reveal darker notes as it opens, so I would recommend decanting if opening it on the young side. The palate has a wonderful, compact feel, with refreshing lift, fine tannins, and a snappy finish. I personally enjoy the bright and coiled energy that comes through in this one.
