Scents of oak, cedar and hazelnut shape the delicate nose along with a whiff of peach on this light-bodied white. The linear, ethereal palate offers yellow pear, saline and a hint of butterscotch alongside crisp acidity before closing on a hint of almond.

Emerald straw color. Fruity, minerally aromas of fresh grapefruit, slate, dried papaya, and clover honey with a velvety, vibrant, fruity light-to-medium body and a tingling, complex, medium-long fresh cut grass, cilantro, dill, shiso, echinacea, and lemon lozenge finish with well-integrated, fruit tannins and no oak flavor. A terrific nuanced Sauvignon Blanc with loads of minerality and complex herbal charm.Buy this one by the 12pk for $11.00 bottle

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon rocks up with gregarious black cherries, blackcurrants and warm plums with hints of menthol, chocolate box and fragrant earth. Big, rich and full-bodied, with loads of minted black berry and earthy layers, it has a firm, grainy frame and fantastic length. R45-6 -

The Altesino 2015 Brunello di Montalcino shows beautiful depth and latitude, with broad fruit aromas of dark cherry and cassis that recall the warmth and golden sunlight of the vintage. The wine is deceivingly streamlined in terms of mouthfeel, but that slim and buttoned-down backbone supports a broad range of flavors and sensations, from lavender essence and camphor ash to moist soil and toasted spice. All of these elements are delivered with impressive harmony and unity, and I expect that this wine will continue on a slow, steady and satisfying aging trajectory over the next 10 years or more. Fruit is sourced from across 21 hectares of vines with tufaceous limestone soils and Alberese rock, which contributes to the freshness and balanced structure of the wine. Drink: 2021-2035.

Bold cherry, dried raspberry and myrtle add to the intensity and the brightness of the bouquet. The Altesino 2016 Brunello di Montalcino displays a lively and fruit-forward ensemble with an infectious and cheerful sense of energy. This is a tonic and crisp expression of Sangiovese with lifted berry aromas backed by subtle spice, tar and licorice gained over two years of barrel aging. Drink: 2024-2042.

Altesino 2018 Rosso di Montalcino
$19.99–$102.00Tuscany Italy
Altesino makes this Rosso di Montalcino entirely from select Sangiovese Grosso grapes sourced from the younger vines in the Altesino, Pianezzine, Macina, and Castelnuovo dellAbate vineyards. After the fermentation process in stainless steel, the wine ages in large barrels of varied maturity for six to eight months followed by three months in bottle. The final wine is a perfect and accessible introduction to the terroir of Montalcino.
