Comprised of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot, the 2016 Proprietary Red Mockingbird Blue has a deep garnet-purple color and spills sensuously out of the glass with seductive notes of blackcurrant cordial, blueberry pie, fruitcake and licorice with suggestions of molten chocolate, spearmint, hoisin and Chinese five spice. Big, rich, full-bodied and decadently spicy in the mouth, it has a firm, grainy frame and a very long, layered finish. SP30-2 -

Turley 2014 Petite Sirah Library Vineyard Napa Valley
$99.99California
Wine Advocate 95 Rating
Noticeably floral with blueberries and blackberries is the 2014 Petite Syrah Library Vineyard, from a site adjacent to the Hayne Vineyard on the back streets of St. Helena. Again, this has civilized tannins that are silky and well-integrated, followed by a wine with an enormous wealth of fruit, lavish concentration, and extravagant texture and richness. It is always hard to peg when these will hit full maturity, but this one has a good 5-10 years of development and should keep for three decades as well. SP19-1 -

The 2015 Petite Syrah Hayne Vineyard possesses a gorgeous structural spine to balance the intense, inky fruit. Chocolate, plum, spice and succulent red cherry notes abound in this creamy, super-expressive Petite. SP19-1 -
Turley 2015 Petite Sirah Library Vineyard Napa Valley
$99.99California
Antonio Galloni 95 Rating
The 2015 Petite Syrah Library Vineyard is another compelling wine from Turley. Spicy, floral and peppery overtones add considerable aromatic nuance to the inky blue and purplish fruit. Savory, plush and deeply expressive, the 2015 has a lot going for it. SP19-1 -
Turley 2015 Petite Sirah Pesenti Vineyard Paso Robles
$89.99California
Antonio Galloni 95 Rating
The 2015 Petite Syrah Pesenti Vineyard is a deep, unctuous wine. Crème de cassis, black pepper, sage, lavender, game and graphite inflections are front and center in a Petite endowed with considerable Paso intensity and richness. The Pesenti is another stand out in this tasting of 2015s. SP19-1 -
Turley 2015 Zinfandel Duarte
$59.99Contra Costa County California
This wine is an homage to Joe Duarte, a prominent grape grower in Contra Costa who first introduced Turley to the incredible vineyards of the area. The wine is comprised of fruit from the turn-of-the-century Evangehlo, Mori and Salvador vineyards, planted between 1890 and 1930. As a result of the sandy soils and impressive age of the vines, the wine has some of the softest, silkiest tannins we’ve ever seen in a Zinfandel. SP16-1 -
Turley 2015 Zinfandel Duarte Contra Costa County
$69.99California
Antonio Galloni 91 Rating
The 2015 Zinfandel Duarte Vineyard is powerful, bold and direct in this vintage. Dark cherry, violet, spice and plum are front and center. Juicy, forward and supple, the 2015 is a good choice for drinking young, while the fruit remains vibrant. As always, Duarte is a blend of four sites; Evangelho, Del Barba and Mori, plus a bit of Salvador. SP19-1
