Vigneti Massa Piccolo Derthona
Price range: $24.99 through $240.00Piedmont Italy
Deliciously clean and refreshing. Notes of citrus, stone fruit, and honey on the nose. On the palate, its concentrated citrus and stone fruit notes – think mandarin, lemon, and apricot – alongside honey, a touch of dried herbs and spices, and a savoury underlayer.

El Enemigo 2020 Mendoza Gran Enemigo
Price range: $99.99 through $570.00Mendoza Argentina
Wine Advocate 95 Rating
Tasting three vintages, I see great regularity in the blended Gran Enemigo. The 2020 Gran Enemigo was produced with 50% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot from Gualtallary, going back to the usual blend. The wine shows exceptionally well, as some wines can show a bit ripe and sometimes fatigued in this warmer year, but this is fresh and lively, expressive and with a solid palate with restraint and balance and no excess. The texture is velvety from very fine tannins, and there’s juicy fruit with no concession for sweetness. It has similar parameters to the other vintages I tasted next to it, with 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.4. This is still very young. 24,000 bottles were filled in July 2021.

Veuve Fourny & Fils Blanc de Blancs Extra-Brut Premier Cru NV
Price range: $59.99 through $600.00Champagne France
Without doubt, one of the best grower Champagnes on the market today. While this compares very favorably with the bigger houses, what you get is something worth so much more. Of all the grower Champanges we sell, this is without doubt the most popular and for one reason, it’s just so darn nice. Like most non-vintage Champagnes, this embodies the house style at Veuve Fourny impeccably well with elegant aromatics, a highly refined texture and a combination of orchard fruit and minerals that embraces Champagne’s more elegant side.

Domaine Daniel Pollier 2022 Pouilly Fuisse Vieilles Vignes
Price range: $29.99 through $324.00Burgundy France
The Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes by Domaine Daniel Pollier is matured in barriques, a quarter of the barrels are new, the rest is in second or third use. This wine is especially concentrated, it shows scents like hazelnuts, floral notes, white and yellow fruits, and a lovely oak influence that supports the fruit, but does not dominate it. An alternative to the rather expensive white wines of the Côte d'Or.

Grace Family 2009 Blank Cabernet Sauvignon
$195.99Napa Valley California
Enjoyabilityfactor 96 Rating
Like other family-founded wineries in Napa Valley, Grace Family Vineyards started small, more a dream than a business. It was 1976 and San Francisco stockbroker Richard Grace and his wife bought an old home in St. Helena to raise their family in the country. The couple planted a one-acre vineyard and two years later harvested their first real crop, which they sold to Caymus Vineyard. The Grace family’s grapes were used by Caymus until 1983, when the Grace Family started making their own wine. These days the Graces cultivate a number of vineyards, though production remains highly limited. Only Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown, and Grace Family wines are 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are prized for their opulence and rich flavors. They are generally available only through a mailing list. Annual production is 200 cases. SP23-1 -

Cellier des Dauphins 2023 Cotes du Rhone Reserve
Price range: $16.99 through $156.00Southern Rhone Valley France
James Suckling 91 Rating
If all Cotes-du-Rhones were as good this, then the appellation would have a much better reputation. This deftly combines a full body and ample velvety tannins with a generous red fruit character plus hot earth and spice nuances. Excellent balance in the long, surprisingly elegant finish. Drink or hold.

The deep, ruby-red color is intense and bright. The nose is dominated by fresh red fruit, backed by subtle oaky aromas which add to the overall complexity. On the palate the attack is bold and well-rounded, with well-integrated tannins and an excellent sense of balance. The elegant finish is long, fruity and velvety.
