This Cabernet Sauvignon was designed to be bigger and bolder than the average cab, while maintaining the classic smooth character. The summer heat allowed the grapes to safely grow a little more ripe, giving bolder fruit flavors of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry jam, and black tea. Balanced oak flavors of leather and tobacco seem layered into the tannins as the bigger texture moves from rich to elegant on the palate. This is thanks to the smooth, long finish that has become a signature of Aviary's house style.
