Almost all Grenache (there are usually small amounts of Mourvèdre and Cinsault) that's raised in tank, the 2019 Gigondas Promesse exhibits a vivid purple hue as well as a great nose of pure red and black raspberries, spring flowers, cedary spices, and chalky minerality. It's medium-bodied, has a pure, elegant, layered mouthfeel, fine yet present tannins, and a good sense of freshness on the finish that keeps you coming back to the glass.
