The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst is composed of 77.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.4% Cabernet Franc, 4.1% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot and 3.8% Malbec. Deep garnet-purple in color, it skips out of the glass with lively blueberries, redcurrants and kirsch scents, plus hints of cedar chest, fragrant earth and rose hip tea. Medium-bodied, elegant and lively in the mouth, the palate is chock-full of bright and crunchy red and black fruits, finishing long and earthy. R12-4 -

The 2018 Frederick is based on 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 23% Merlot, and 16% Syrah , all from the Walla Walla Valley, that spent 19 months in 40% new French oak. It has a great nose of ripe red and black fruits as well as notes of chocolate, dried herbs, and loamy soils, with subtle background oak. Medium to full-bodied, it has firm tannins, a solid core of sweet fruit, and a great finish. It’s going to benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and drink brilliantly over the following decade. R16-6

St. Michael Eppan’s Alto Adige Pinot Grigio was born at 400-500 meters above sea level in the vineyards of the municipalities of Appiano and Caldaro. The wine is a pure Pinot Grigio, whose grapes are harvested at the end of September. The must is fermented in steel vats, where it also partially carries out the malolactic fermentation. In the glass it has a straw yellow color with light greenish reflections. The nose opens with hints of both white and yellow pulp fruit. On the palate it is warm and soft. Ideal as an aperitif on its own and as an accompaniment to simple cold land and sea appetizers.

Always a smoking value, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Sonoma and has a layered, ripe, forward, and undeniably delicious style as well as lots of darker berry fruits, notes of leather and ripe herbs, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Aged 21 months in new barrels, the tiny production 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 23 is brooding and inward yet has incredible purity in its darker currant and cassis-like fruit as well as subtle smoked tobacco, crushed stone, liquid violet, and graphite-driven nuances. These carry to a deep, layered, sensationally concentrated Cabernet that has sweet yet building tannins, a seamless mouthfeel, flawless balance, and a great, great finish. It needs to be hidden for a decade if you can, but this is a legend in the making and will have 50+ years or more overall longevity if well stored. For the technical geeks out there, the alcohol is 14.8% and its pH is 3.72. SP11-6

The 2021 SLV is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 21 months, in 100% new French oak. It’s a concentrated, opulent vintage of this wine. Bright nose of violets, blackberry and blueberry compote. Full-bodied with plush velvet tannins that are ripe, powerful and super granular. An undercurrent of huckleberry fruit mingles with graphite minerality. Natural acidity is present and juicy. The long finish is bright and floral and resolves with more ripe black fruit, salted dark chocolate, and toasty oak.
