The excellent varietal 2018 Malbec showcases the varietal and vintage in an elegant and balanced way with juicy fruit and good freshness. It has a soft texture, a gentle mouthfeel and very fine tannins. It was bottled in November 2019.

Another heavenly wine is the 2018 Cabernet Franc Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, which may be my favorite in the lineup. Sporting a deep purple color as well as a gorgeous perfume of crème de cassis, graphite, spring flower, crème brulée, and tobacco, it just glides across the palate with full-bodied richness, beautiful tannins, no hard edges, and that rare mix of elegance and power that only truly great wines possess. It's gorgeous today yet I see no reason it won't keep for at least 15-20 years. R41-1 -
