Snowden 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ranch
$49.99 – $540.00Napa Valley California
Wine Spectator 91 Rating
This is nicely packed, showing polished cassis and plum reduction notes layered with smoldering tobacco accents and a hint of alder. A touch toothy through the finish as the toast hangs on, but the fruit core is plenty solid, and that should win out with some cellaring. Best from 2021 through 2030.

Laherte Frères Brut Champagne Ultradition

The NV Brut Ultradition is the same base wine as the Extra Brut Ultradition. Here the higher dosage seems to give the wine greater fleshiness and immediacy, while changing the wine's shape. Some of the mid-palate creaminess seems to have been achieved at the expense of a bit of persistence. Disgorged: November 2016. Dosage is 6-8 grams per liter. Drink: 2017-2023. PRG

Toasted oak and wood-smoke aromas lead to equally smoky, spicy flavors of black pepper, blackberry jam and maple in this full-bodied, muscular and firmly tannic wine. Great to pair with barbecue and hatchet throwing. The Zinfandel grapes were supplemented with 16% Carignane, 6% Petite Sirah and 2% Alicante Bouschet. *Cellar Selection*

Lots of plums, darker fruits, chocolate, and incense notes emerge from the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, a dense, sweetly fruited, pleasure-bent 2020 that’s already drinking nicely. It should keep for 8-10 years and should certainly put a smile on your face.

Giovanni Rosso 2017 Barolo La Serra
$99.99 – $528.00Piedmont Italy
Wine Advocate 94 Rating
From another prized vineyard site in Serralunga d'Alba, the Giovanni Rosso 2017 Barolo Serra is balanced and bright, with dark cherry fruit, crème de cassis, baked clay and rusty mineral. Those more ferrous aromas are followed by a pretty hint of blue flower or dried lavender. This is a nicely textured, mid to full-weight Barolo to hold in your cellar.

Canard Vineyard 2018 Estate Zinfandel
$49.99 – $528.00Napa Valley California
From one of the oldest Zinfandel vineyards in Napa Valley. This is not your typical Zin. This wine is structured, balanced and incredibly elegant. On the nose and upon entry, the wine is a seamless transition of rich, ripe raspberry, cedar, allspice and clove. The mid-palate is full bodied with a luscious mouth feel of ripe red cherries, cranberries and figs. The finish is long and soft with hints of vanilla bean, coriander and baking spice.
