Faust the Pact 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville
$99.99 – $570.00Napa Valley California
James Suckling 97 Rating
So many graphite and pencil shaving aromas here with blue fruits. Slate and tar undertones. Black and red currants. Some ash. Medium-bodied with open grained tannins. So much iron and rust with lead and mussel shell. Then turns to pine cone and cedar. Really complex and flavor intensive. Love to drink it now as a young wine. This evolves all the time. It will age beautifully. Better in three to five years. But I can’t wait.

Faiveley 2020 Chambolle Musigny
$99.99Burgundy France
A beautiful, brilliant garnet-red color. The nose is very pretty with woody and fruity notes. On the palate are grilled and fruity, very ripe cherry aromas. The tannins are present without being too intrusive or aggressive. An elegant wine, fine and pedigreed. Serve with with grapes, duck breast with mushrooms, roast turkey, and any games dish. SP1-2 -
Domaine Michel Magnien 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Seuvrees
$99.99 – $510.00Burgundy France
Enjoyabilityfactor 94 Rating
Les Seuvrées delivers classic Gevrey-Chambertin flavors of black fruit, licorice, violets, and spices with an underlying earthiness. Fifty-year-old vines bring unexpected richness and depth to this village-level bottling. The wine is a pure expression of its terroir thanks to its élevage in a combination of used oak and clay jars.

Horsepower Vineyards 2020 Syrah The Tribe Vineyard

This Tribe called best Syrah is positively hunger-inducing. The wine’s medium-rare steak with herb butter aroma is joined by notes of blackberry compote and fresh-mowed hay. Pie cherry, smoky lapsang souchang tea and bacon fat flavors continue the theme. Surprisingly electric acidity is the equal of all that fruit, along with fine-grained tannins. SP24-2 -
Chateau Lascombes 2015 Red Blend Margaux
$99.99 – $540.00Bordeaux France
Wine Enthusiast 96 Rating
This is a powerful wine, with wood aging that adds richness to the dense tannins. Some tough extraction has not detracted from the ripe fruit or structure and will go as the wine matures. It should be ready to drink from 2026.

Château de Nalys 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape
$99.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Wine Spectator 95 Rating Highly Recommended Selection
#10 Top 100 Wine Spectator 2021. A bright savory note leads off this red, followed quickly by sanguine and bay leaf accents, all melding nicely with the core of steeped blackberry, raspberry and plum fruit flavors as they move through the rich, licorice root–tinged finish. Best from 2022 through 2035. SPBX-12 SP39-3 -
Campo alla Sughera 2019 Toscana Rosso IGT
$99.99 – $510.00Tuscany Italy
Wine Advocate 94 Rating
Pouring from a very heavy glass bottle, the 2019 Campo alla Sughera (made with a blend of 70% Petit Verdot and 30% Cabernet Franc) delivers a syrupy bouquet with cola, crème de cassis and ashtray. The wine is very inky and thick with blue flower but also tight, chalky tannins. The intensity builds up high both in terms of bouquet and mouthfeel, with solid building blocks at the base. Only 5,000 bottles were made.

Canard Vineyard 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
$99.99Napa Valley California
Wow a very rich and fruit driven bouquet, dark cherry liqueur, cassis and currant like fruit with sweet tobacco spice, dark chocolate. This is 100% varietal and is all Clone 7, a very smooth and easy drinking Cabernet with lots of intensity, big but still quite balanced with a long layered finish. R10-3 -
Conti Costanti 2019 Brunello di Montalcino
$104.99 – $540.00Tuscany Italy
Decanter Magazine 100 Rating
Simply gloriously sculpted, the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino is indeed statuesque and stately. While it doesn’t give everything up all at once, it is gracious in its presentation. From chestnut forest and sweet earth, to anise and orange extract, the aromas are visceral, and boundless depths of wild red berries suffuse the palate. It vibrates with scintillating acidity and long, tactile tannins which stretch out leisurely. I bet that Rosso has hit its stride now – if you have some, it’s what you’ll want to drink while waiting for this captivatingly beautiful Brunello. R12-4
